Prophecy is “more-sure”:
Introduction:
2 Peter 1:19-20 “We have the prophetic word made more-sure, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. Know that no prophecy of scripture is of any private interpretation...”
“More-sure” than what, is the question. Prophecy is more-sure than the things mentioned in the previous verses which are; seeing with your own eyes and hearing something with your ears! So in a sense Bible prophecy is more real and sure than reality!
Prophecy shines in a dark place says the verse above. The world today is increasingly dark! Much of the church is dark too. Even many so-called prophets are in fact prophets of darkness!
If you think you can live successfully in a dark place without light, you are a fool.
In this edition, I will look at the vital issue of knowing prophecy and its veracity, especially after the great harm done to it in the eyes of many, by the recent deceptive Revelation 12 sign interpretation.
This edition is an attempt to uplift Bible prophecy again to its rightful, elevated, exalted, holy, pure, more-sure, position of respectability.
The great error and the big lesson:
Before we go on, we need to identify the source of the problem. Bible prophecy has been dealt an enormous blow by many teachers of the recent Revelation 12 sign, its interpretation, and the side issues like the coming of Nibiru.
Every single point, presumption, and conclusion was wrong – totally wrong. Almost every verse used was used wrongly, out of context, dispensation or interpretive application. There were a million warning lights flashing.
But rather than break each one of these down and look at where they were so massively wrong, there is one very big, all inclusive, overall problem to consider, which you would do well to remember and apply in the future, because this entire issue is far from over.
This lesson is desperately needed in these prophetic times.
The big issue is that all of the Revelation 12 signers and their promoters – without exception had one big problem. It was all dead-letter. There was no Spirit of God in any of it. (2 Corinthians 3:6)
If you have an anointing of the Spirit of God upon you and your work, it will manifest as truth. (John 16:13) The Spirit of God will not “anoint” error. He never, operates through manipulation either.
The failed Revelation 12 sign interpretation produced confusion, discouragement, and suspicion about the veracity of the Bible. It damaged Bible prophecy itself in the eyes of many. It made yet another mockery of prophecy in the world’s eyes.
It exalted individuals (before the “so-called” rapture date). It placed some of the error-mongers in mocking judgement on all who rejected their work and claims. It elevated error, and has entrenched the un-repentant teachers in error. They are now in danger of being used by the spirit of error again.
If it were all of God, their major claim, presented with the worst manipulation I have ever seen, (the rapture) would have taken place. If it were of God, its fruits would not have been those mentioned above.
The great error is speaking and presuming things when God is not speaking. Many of the sign teachers were (and still are) looking for self-affirmation. They were trying to get God to issue a sworn statement, a stamp of approval, a green light to ratify His red light!
Sometimes God is saying – “wait!” Personally, I don’t like that, but if it’s God’s voice, we wait.
If you speak His word when He is not speaking, then, you are speaking your own word. We cannot order God around and make Him perform for us! He is not our sponsor!
The signers looked for confirmation from others on the same band-wagon of private interpretation.
►“Belief-bias” is a psychological term, describing one who uses beliefs of an invalid assumption to influence others. It was operating in overdrive! We saw the conditioning of the Christian masses with much manipulation. There was belief-bias, group-bias, and crowd psychology, all at work - all wrong!
Another time I’ll deal with some other powerful and very relevant psychological terms, which few are aware of, like: Availability heuristics, naive realism, Blind-spot bias and more.
Many, like myself, got verbally assaulted over and over for not being on their wrong-wagon.
Of course none of them thought they were wrong. But they were totally wrong, in that God was not in it at all. Yes, God can and will still use things that cause great damage and harm. He can and will turn them around for His ultimate good, but that does not justify error in the first place.
You can say that people repented before the sign. Maybe so, but where are they now, after the sign failure?
God never anoints error or false prophecy, though Satan does. (Isaiah 1:14-15)
When going off-track there should always be a little bell ringing in your heart, or red light of some sort. After all, it is God Himself who is in your heart.
More on Nibiru:
You may have noticed that the non-existing planet Nibiru, was closely associated with, and part of the Revelation 12 interpretation, identified as the “dragon.”
I’ve written on it a lot, so I won’t spend much time on it now, but consider this:
Nibiru is supposedly a planet travelling through the universe about to strike the earth. Numerous failed dates have come and gone. Only the very ignorant or totally deceived could believe any of it.
But this god- mythology is curse-producing, as is much of Babylonian origin.
Nibiru is the god of the constellations and planetary alignments. He would “shepherd the stars like sheep.” He was the shepherd-teacher of these planetary alignments. Nibiru was also Marduk the Babylonian sun-god. Nibiru was also known as the “great star” and the “heavenly sign.”
Some Sumerian texts refer to Nibiru as the planet Jupiter.
Marduk (Nibiru) would shepherd the stars to a position called the Nibiru point (tablet 5 of Babylonia). This was the point fixed in the constellations, which produced great signs.
I will leave you to your assessments.
(I have just heard this morning that a well-known Bible-code searcher has found Nibiru to hit the earth this Hebrew year 5778. He also found it for last year and the year before!!!) Ignore them!
On the brink of supernatural delusions:
2 Timothy 3:13 “Evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.”
We are now on the doorstep of the tribulation period, which will be accompanied with huge supernatural miracles like never before. Some will be of God, and other great delusions, will be of the devil.
We will see forerunners of these things now before the tribulation begins.
All around us are: Horoscopes, fortune tellers, clairvoyants, and various false prophets of other religions. Do not mess with or go near them. You will get spiritually trapped like the prey of a python.
Acts 16:16-18 “A certain slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination (Lit=python) brought her master much profit by fortune telling, She said of Paul, ‘these men are servants of God most high, who proclaim the way of salvation. Then Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, ‘I command you in the name of Yeshua the Messiah, to come out of her.’”
Note that a servant of Satan acknowledged that these were men of the living God.
Note also that this slave girl was possessed by a certain type of evil spirit. The original word used is “python”. This is a spirit that captures a person tightly in deception and strangles the life of God out of them! The word also means a ventriloquist, or one who speaks from a different, secret, hidden source!
What a perfect example and description of the deceptions of Satan!
Have you been bamboozled by nice sounding words, when the origin is Satan?
These things are all going to intensify greatly and quickly in the days ahead. They will get “worse and worse.”
If you have been entertaining any of these occult things, you need to break free, repent and be delivered. You must then forsake them completely, including all physical contact-items, books, music and the like – burn them all.
In the days of the miracles of Egypt, two of Pharaoh’s magicians called down fire from above. They withstood Moses.
They are named as Jannes and Jambres in 2 Timothy 3:9.
●The name Jannes means: Gift from God
●The name Jambres means: Rebellion, bitterness and poverty.
My friends please be aware that Satan is a deceiver in camouflage. He comes as an “angel of light.”
Many supernatural things will shortly occur and appear to be a “gift from God.” They will catch the gullible!
You may think that this or that is a “gift of God” when in reality it is rooted in rebellion and produces bitterness and poverty – as all the works of Satan eventually do!
Any “gift of God” originating in rebellion or the occult will be like a python to you. It will be the voice of the great ventriloquist – Satan. He will bring you the gift of bitterness and poverty – all the life squeezed out!
Satan wants you as his legitimate servant and property. If you fall for these things you are giving him your permission.
Here’s another prime example of Paul dealing with an attack on the church:
Acts 13:8-12 (Shortened to main points) “Elymas the sorcerer withstood them, seeking to turn them away from the faith. Then Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit said, ‘O full of all deceit and all fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord? Now, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a time. And immediately a dark mist fell on him and he went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand. Then they believed...”
Servants of Satan, which include false prophets, sought to keep believers from the truth! Your truth must not be moveable!
The deadly motivation of the spirits of error is to “draw away disciples after themselves.”
Bible prophecy killers:
Bible prophecy can’t be killed or changed, but it can be damaged in the eyes of some people. The unsaved often respond to fulfilled Bible prophecy in a powerful way. It offers great security to the saved. Satan knows it is a powerful tool of evangelism and the veracity of God’s word.
He tries to water it down, change it, nullify it, and discredit it. He will never be successful ultimately, but he can and does throw a spanner in the works, albeit temporarily.
Bible prophecy gets damaged when:
●Those with no fear of the Lord delve into it. ●Those whose teachings and claims have a pattern of non-fulfilment - it doesn’t come to pass. ●Those not filled with the Spirit of God and the gifts. ●Manipulation, ulterior motives, or self righteousness damages prophecy. ●Those, who are biblically ignorant, or unstudied, always mess up prophecy. ●Those pursuing preconceived agendas. ●The scripturally unbalanced – those with a hobby horse. ●Those with no or little interest in Israel and God’s plans for the Jews always get it wrong. ●Those who ignore dispensations are prophetically blind.
It’s a fearful thing to stand for our Lord and deliver His word. It’s a frightening thing to know of the consequences for missing it, just in the slightest, when speaking for God.
“Teachers will incur a stricter judgement than others.” (James 3:1)
Correct interpretation of God’s word is essential, but application of it prophetically, is the scary thing. You had better be right, not just for the sake of the people you will influence and impact, but because you are on God’s chopping block yourself!
Thankfully the Lord has given us that “still small voice” to lead us, to guide, and confirm.
Bible prophecy rightly divided, received and applied is a powerful revelatory indicator of numerous critical things in these days.
Prophecy is God’s ●barometer, ●measuring gauge, ● spiritual thermometer, ●light meter, ●clock, ●speedometer, ●seismometer, ●tension meter, ● microscope, ● telescope, ●stethoscope and ●radar.
Prophecy is God’s sustenance for you, your shield, shelter and bastion of protection, your weapons of war, your armoury, your secure protection, your hoodwink shield!
Evil end-time dangers:
Prophecy is a light that shines in a dark place. The darkness around and about us today is spiritually charged. It is demon-dark and is about to get double demon-dark!
Sin advances and gets worse, but a Satan brings in a new morality with it, and simply puts on a new face, and through gradualisation makes terrible sin, acceptable and respectable.
The only hope for the world is judgement unto destruction, and with a new world of glory arising out of the ashes.
The only hope for the church is for “judgement to begin in the house of God” and then a new fresh outpouring of the Spirit of God, to take us forward.
Bear in mind, that in times past when God judged His people, He always started with the prophets and those who spoke for God. If their interpretations were wrong, the people suffered.
Here are a few shocking examples:
Ezekiel 22:25-28 “The conspiracy of her prophets in her midst is like a roaring lion tearing the prey; they have devoured the people...they have not distinguished between the holy and the unholy or the unclean and the clean...the prophets covered these with untempered mortar, seeing false visions and divining lies, saying ‘Thus says the Lord, when the Lord has not spoken.’”
“Untempered mortar” is cement wrongly mixed. It is too watery and won’t stand the test of time.
Deuteronomy 18:20 “The prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, shall die.” (In today’s terms that would mean reject him.)
Deuteronomy 18:22 “When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if it does not come to pass; the prophet has spoken presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him (consider his words).”
Jeremiah 23:16 “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophecy to you. They make you worthless; they speak a vision of their own heart, not from the Lord.”
Jeremiah 23: 21-22 “I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them. If they had stood in My counsel and caused My people to hear My words, then they would have turned from their evil way.”
Jeremiah 23:25 “I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy lies in My name saying, ‘I have dreamed, I have dreamed!’ How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? They are prophets of deceit, of their own heart.”
These few verses above are a shocking indictment on false prophets, teachers, watchmen and those in ministry. For me personally, they send shudders down my spine! Am I scared of these verses? You bet!
The deceptive force of YouTube and some other internet ministries is that they create a false authority. “I heard it on the news or saw it in the paper, it must be true.” Rubbish, rubbish, rubbish!
These ministries can gain instant acceptance and so-called authority, without the anointing or call of God.
A great sign of who to trust and who to avoid in ministry: The person who will not repent when in error – run from them.
But don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater! The internet is also great for ministry. Be selective.
Righting the wrong:
We want it all and we want it now. That’s the way of the modern digital, pop-up world. But it takes some guts to wait. That does not mean waiting passively, doing nothing, but it does mean not jumping ahead of God.
“Lay hands on no one suddenly,” says the Bible. This actually means, be careful who you release into ministry. It also refers to a transfer of spirits. Be careful who you allow to touch you spiritually. There are far too many who should not be in ministry.
God holds the church accountable, to a degree, for the nation and in fact for the world.
I believe that we are now on the verge of moving into new exciting times. Prophetically, we are on the cliff-edge, and on the rapture-rocket step.
Many of the watchmen and Revelation 12 sign teachers will repent. I just wish they would hurry up. Then we can put all this behind us and go forward as though there was never a problem in the first place. There is too much at stake, and too many lives in the valley of decision.
Hearing God’s voice:
In these days, especially in dealing with all things of a prophetic nature, we desperately need to hear the voice of our Lord, by His Spirit in our hearts.
Jeremiah 7:23 “Hear and obey My voice then I will be your God and you shall be My people...it will be well with you.”
John 10:3-5 “His sheep hear His voice. He calls His own sheep by name...His sheep follow Him, for they know His voice... They will not follow a stranger’s voice.”
It is impossible to follow the Lord unless you hear His voice. Voices are unique. They are like fingerprints. Be careful of, and learn the voice of the evil ventriloquist, so that you can’t be hoodwinked!
The Bible uses this phrase a few times, “If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.” This is speaking of a hearing heart, which is a believing heart. It is conditional!
Psalm 95:7-11 “...Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, as in the day of trial in the wilderness...They do not know My ways’, so I swore in My wrath, they will not enter My rest.”
God’s voice obviously agrees with God’s word – all of it. Today many are in a sea of biblical ignorance and have no idea what the Bible says. Others have given themselves over to so-called men of God as their primary source.
The Bible itself is the word of God, but it is also “dead letter.” It needs the now, active, alive, Spirit of God to transform it into revelation.
Colossians 3:15-16 (Amp.) “Let the peace (soul -harmony) of Messiah rule and act as an umpire in your hearts, deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds...and be thankful, giving praise to God.”
Finally
There are many great prophetic things about to happen. We are on the very verge of very exciting times! I sense and feel that God has been waiting to get all the false teachings doing the rounds out of the way first, and now His plans will break forth.
I cannot repent for my fellow brothers and watchmen who have made a big mistake. If I could I would. I have gone in prayer though for them, and aligned myself with them, albeit in spirit. I do sense an exciting new time coming with the “watchmen seeing eye to eye” as the coming of the Lord approaches!
I took this picture at Savuti, Botswana. – Elephant conference!
Shalom and grow in His Grace!
