All about Salvation
Salvation relates to the entirety of man rightly divided and applied. We are spirit, soul and body. The Bible clearly divides between these, with verses relating exclusively to each area of our lives.
Salvation, in all these areas comes by deliberate wilful choice, with a choice to continue and follow our Lord, all with vital, evident fruits in your life.
What follows is not teaching as such, but lists of Bible verses that relate and apply to salvation in all three areas of our lives.
In the section under “Salvation of the soul”, I’ve included links to three full editions on this website dealing with counselling. These are most important for anyone needing counsel or help and for anyone giving counsel.

Salvation must be confirmed by water baptism and empowered by baptism in the spirit.

John 3:5 “Yeshua answered, ‘truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.’”

Galatians 3:27, Colossians 2:12, Acts 8:38, Acts 2:41
Baptism in the Spirit:
Hebrews 6:1-2 Speaks of and lists the “doctrine of Messiah.” The doctrine of baptisms” is one of them. The word is plural!
John 14:16-17 “I will pray the Father and He will give you another Helper and He may abide with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive.”
Acts 2:4 “They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”
Acts 2:18 “I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophecy.”
Acts 10:44-48 “While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word, and those of the circumcision who believed, were astonished because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Can anyone forbid water that these should not be baptised who have just received the Holy Spirit just as we have?’ And He commanded them to be baptised.”
Acts 19:2 “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed”? And they said, ‘we have not so much heard whether there is a Holy Spirit...When they heard this, they were baptised.’”
Acts 19:5-6 “When they heard this they were baptised in the name of Yeshua, and when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.”

1 Corinthians 1:7 “Pray that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revealing of our Lord Yeshua Messiah.”
John 7:38 “He who believes in Me, as the scriptures has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
John 14:15-16 “If you love Me keep My commandments and I will pray the Father and He will give you another Helper, that He might abide with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him not knows Him.”
1 Corinthians 12:27-31 “Now you are the body of Messiah and members individually. And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues...but earnestly desire the best gifts.”
1 Corinthians 14:2-5 “He who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him, however in the Spirit, he speaks mysteries. But, he who prophecies speaks edification, exhortation and comfort to men. He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied...”
1 Corinthians 12:7-11 “The manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: To one is given the word of wisdom, through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things distributing to each one individually as He wills.”
Romans 8:16 “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are children of God.”
Here is an excellent video on the subject by Dr. Brown:
Salvation of the soul (not the spirit)
Romans 12:1-2 “I beseech you brethren (Those saved already) by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Do not be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good, acceptable and perfect will of God.”
John 12:25 “He who loves his life (self) will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world, will keep it for eternal life.”
Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Messiah; it is no longer I who live, but Messiah who lives in me…”
Galatians 6:14 “God forbid that I should glory except in the cross of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, by whom the world has been crucified to me and I to the world.”
Ephesians 5:27 “He will present to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that it should be holy and without blemish.”
James 1:27 “…Keep oneself unspotted from the world.”
1 John 5:4 “For whoever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith.”
Revelation 3:16 “Because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth.”
Salvation of the soul – counseling:
Counseling: This is a huge subject as you can imagine. Counseling Christians fits into the subject of the salvation of the soul. If you need counseling or know of others that need it or just want to be well prepared to help others, please read and study:

Salvation must touch and affect our three dimensions, spirit, soul and body. In terms of the spirit, this is “re-created” and made new at the new-birth. It is where the Spirit of God lives in our hearts and operates from.
Our soul (the realm of the mind and thinking) must be “renewed" as we move forward. This is where much has to be replaced and made new with godly thinking.
Our body has a future salvation associated with it. We will be transformed, made new with a supernatural body just the same as the body our Lord had after resurrection. This will happen at the rapture of the church, which is the “catching away” of the church to heaven.
The salvation of our body:
1 Corinthians 15:26 “The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.”
1 Corinthians 15: 50-51 “Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God...we shall not all sleep (die) but we shall be changed in a moment in a twinkling of an eyes, at the last trumpet (for the church age)”
Romans 8:23 “We who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption (salvation) of our body.”
1 Peter 1:23 “Having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever.”
Is Yeshua (Jesus) God?
Matthew 1:23 “Behold a virgin shall be with child and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, meaning ‘God with us.’”
Isaiah 9:6 “Unto us a child is born and a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder. His name shall be called, Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
John 1:1-3 “In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. Verse 14: The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”
John 20:28 “Thomas: ‘My Lord and my God.’”
Colossians 2:9 “In Him dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily (in the flesh)”
1 Timothy 3:16 “The mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh.”
Titus 2:13 “Look for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Yeshua the Messiah.”
2 John 1:7 “Many deceivers have gone out into the world who does not confess Yeshua the Messiah has come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.” (The name Jesus Christ or Yeshua Messiah means Jesus is God.)
What a Christian is not:
Don’t for one moment think you’re a Christian because you believe in Jesus. The Bible says, “even the demons believe and shudder at their future.”
You must be born again. If at all possible you must be baptised in water by full immersion as an adult. You must be baptised in the Spirit.
You are not a Christian because you are a Gentile and not a Jew. No one is born automatically into salvation, by birth or family heritage. It must be a conscious, willing, deliberate act at some point in time and space.
You are not a Christian because you go to church.
You are not a Christian because you believe and do any set of laws and works. Salvation is exclusively based on faith and grace and not law and works. Works do come into the picture but only after salvation and as a response to salvation.
If you are left behind at the rapture:
If the rapture is imminent or if not, this is what you need to do right now.
Repent of all sin, every sin you have ever committed. Detach yourself from all sin, besetting sin and the sin that comes your way by and from the influence of other people. Detach and separate yourself spiritually from everyone that is hindering your spiritual growth, victory and freedom. Don’t let anyone pull you back, even if you have to fight them. Clean the slate of sin in your life.
Repent for all sin and any specific sins that you are aware of. Then repent for missing God’s mark for you in the bigger more general picture.
It’s no sin to admit that you have served the terrible god of self and been consumed with the ways of world.
Draw near to our soon coming great King, Lord and God – Yeshua. Give yourself fully to Him. Let Him into every dark room in your life.
Tell Him that you are now embracing Him in an embrace that will never let go. Tell Him that you love Him, receive Him, believe Him, and exalt Him and His word.
Surrender your life fully to our Lord and Saviour. Give your life to Him. Don’t argue, just do it now!
Now embrace the cross of Calvary. You can only do that in word and thought – do it now. Now tell our Lord that in your remaining days you will take up your own cross, whatever He shows you that it is.
Spend some time basking in the love of our Lord. Just open yourself to receive His love. Thank Him for His goodness and all the incredible, spectacular things that He has laid up for you that you can’t even begin to imagine.
How wise it is to be ready for our Lord all the time, especially when many signs point to the nearness of it all.
Please do yourself a favour and reject out of hand the words of the end-time scoffers and sceptics. They won’t say it, but they have one motivation which is for you to join them in not being ready and being a puppet of the world.
Isaiah 5:14-16 “Sheol (hell) has enlarged itself and opened its mouth beyond measure. Their glory and their multitudes and their pomp (pride), and he who is jubilant shall descend into it. People shall be brought down, each man shall be humbled, but the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God who is holy shall be hallowed in righteousness.”
Isaiah 14:9-11 “Hell from beneath is excited about you, to meet you at your coming; It stirs up the dead for you, all the chief ones of the earth; it has raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. They all shall speak and say to you: ‘Have you become as weak as us? Your pomp (pride) is brought down to Sheol (hell).’”
Matthew 25:46 “These will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
Matthew 13:41-42 “The Son of Man will send out His angels and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practise lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
Matthew 10:28 “Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
Matthew 25:41 “Then He will say also to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”
Psalm 9:17 “The wicked shall be turned into hell and all the nations that forget God.”
Revelation 19:20 “...Those who worshipped the image of the beast and received his mark were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.”
Revelation 20:15 “Anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Revelation 21:8 “The cowardly, unbelieving, abdominal, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters and all liars shall have their part in the lake of fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
Luke 16:23-26 “Being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. The he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham have mercy on me and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ But Abraham said, ‘Son remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. Besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from one side to the other cannot.”
