This website is distinctly Messianic, comprising the Abrahamic expression of faith, which is to the Jew and the Gentile with a Hebraic character. We affirm the fullness of absolute truth contained in the Bible, embracing the cross and identifying with the convocations of the Lord as seen in the Feasts, the Sabbath and Passover. We reject the legalism of many in the Messianic movement. We reject the Babylonian Pagan traditions of the church. We consider all people Jews and Gentiles and those in all churches who are truly born of the Spirit of the living God to be one family. We reject institutional organised denominationalism (division). We foresee a great falling away of much of the church in these days, while at the same time a great restoration of part of the church. We affirm and identify with God's plan and call to the Jewish people in these days and will support and stand with them as future brothers and sisters. We stand happily with pre / mid/ and post tribbers. Our slant is cautiously pre-trib, but hey, post tribber...you're still family! Today much error has been added to Christendom and much truth has been removed. The Prophetic Scroll's aim is to deal with these issues and assist you on your road to glory.
I was saved in 1976 and became extremely interested in Bible prophecy, being an ex war-correspondent and photographer. My calling and aim is to share the dramatic and all-important issues of prophecy relating to our day. This is a calling to unfold and share the wisdom of God as contained in His word. There is also much teaching in these pages for your heart. It’s not all prophecy! Please study these things further yourself and understand that the format is non-exhaustive. Please search the scriptures to “see if these be true.” This is a "watchman" and Bible prophecy teaching website.

Isaiah 18:3-7 “All inhabitants of the world and dwellers on the earth: When He lifts up a banner on the mountains, you see it; and when He blows a trumpet you hear it...In that time a present will be brought to the Lord from a people tall and of smooth skin, and from a people terrible from their beginning onward, a nation powerful and treading down, whose land the rivers divide – to the place of the name of the Lord of hosts, to Mount Zion.”

●We continue in the prophetic impasse, with no major prophetic developments. There have been numerous threats of military action from Israel, Syria and Iran and a few minor skirmishes here and there. They are significant in setting the tone, but we sit and wait. This is called learning patience!
●For this publication, I’m not really interested in all the little news items around the world. It’s only the events and issues that have a direct relationship to Bible prophecy. These things can change fast!
Shabbat (Sabbath) begins on Fridays at 6pm and ends on Saturdays at 6pm. The purpose is to help the church and Israel become reconciled in Messiah and to identify the rift, and the needed restoration. There is much in the church that needs to change before it can be fully reconciled with the Jew. Likewise, changes in Jewish thinking are also needed.

News events and commentary:
My comment begins with ***
●Natural gas from the huge recent discovery off the Israeli coast has now begun to flow commercially. (I reported on this initially a year or so ago). The oil fields in the same areas will soon be in production. This is a potential powder keg for the Middle East and makes Israel a much more attractive target for its enemies.
●Oil is Israel: “By 2020 Israel will be the world’s biggest oil producer.” That’s a surprising statement, but true. There are an estimated 250 billion barrels of oil in shale deposits under the Negev Desert. Hydraulic fracking is the extraction method needed to get the oil out. Canadian companies joined up with Israel Energy to begin fund the project and begin production. Production is still small, but will be ramped up as they go. This is a big game changer for the region. Here is the story from Fox News:Israel to rule new Middle East
●Palestinians in surprising new bid for Jerusalem: Jordan’s King Abdullah is made custodian of all the holy sites of Jerusalem. This is part of the Palestinian plan to “internationalise oversight of Jerusalem’s holy sites and to “defend Jerusalem against Judaization!”
●North Korea: If North Korea attacks South Korea as they are threatening to do, it will plunge the world into a technology crisis. The Kospi stock market index of South Korea is made up of a very large number of very important tech companies. These are critical to the whole world’s tech industry. In fact the tech heavy NASDAQ of the US follows the Kospi quite closely. A war in this region could affect production and hence the world.
●The Cyprus crisis has set a dangerous precedent for the world. Your money is no longer safe in the bank. Europe’s days in its present form are numbered! The global elite of swines has found a new way to raise capital...just take it from bank deposits. Other nations, including Canada are also looking at similar state-theft methods. Do you see what I see? This has overtones of the control system of the Revelation!
●Secretive internet hacker groups have decided to unite in attacking Israel.
●In the previous edition I outlined the link between the new pope and Peter the Roman. This is in the name Francis of Assisi (Francesco di Pietro di Berfnardone) I’ll share more of these snippets as we go on, but here is another: Francis of Assisi vigorously promoted the inter-faith view that all created beings, share a brother sister relationship under God. This is the agenda of the cursed Inter Faith movement and is already becoming evident in the Catholic and Anglican churches.
John 11:25 “I am the Resurrection and the life.”
The true gospel of Messiah IS resurrection and IS resurrection life.
Everything but everything hinges on the resurrection. It is the great impassable divide between true Biblical Christianity and all other religions and experience.
The resurrection shatters man’s views of time, space, science, physics, travel, nature, history and more. The resurrection is wrapped up in the miraculous, the supernatural, eternity, holiness, judgement and much more.
True Biblical belief and experience is inextricably linked with resurrection.
Yeshua’s resurrection has profound glorious consequences for all of creation including nature and frightening consequences of eternal terror for all outside of God’s kingdom.
Resurrection should make us profoundly different! It should give us dreams and visions of magnificent, spectacular, incredible, eternal wonder. It should make us oddballs who can’t fit comfortably into the present world system.
The resurrection, the ascension, the Second Coming and the Millennium are all inextricably linked.
Resurrection gives us proper perspective and understanding of Pentecost, the supernatural birth of the Church and its supernatural qualities.
Resurrection is exclusive. It is not for the unsaved. They will get a resurrection as well, but to hell. Those who see with spiritual eyes, by faith, and in truth, are the only ones who see the full meaning of resurrection.
Have you ever wondered why the world can see Yeshua in His humanity, but not in His deity? Have you ever wondered why so many can understand the gospels but not the Revelation? Have you ever wondered why so many can see the Lamb but not the Lion?
It’s because resurrection is on the far side of the cross. You need to go through the cross to see it and understand it. Resurrection is exclusive!
Here are some wonderful encouraging verses:
Philippians 3:20-21 “For our citizenship is in heaven from which we also eagerly await for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body...”
1 Corinthians 2:9 “Eye has not seen nor ear heard, nor has entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
1 Corinthians 13:12 “For now I see in a mirror darkly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I am known.”
1 Corinthians 15:38-42 “God gives each a body as He pleases and to each seed its own body...there are celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies...there is one glory of the sun and another glory of the moon and another of the stars...so also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption and raised in incorruption.”
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 “Behold I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep (die) but we shall be changed – in a moment in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
Daniel 12:2-3 “And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life and some to everlasting shame and contempt. Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.”
Revelation 21:7 “He who overcomes will inherit all things, and I will be his God and he will be My son.”
The character of the risen One:
I’ve taken a few verses here from the Revelation of Yeshua, chapter one and strung them together:
Our Messiah says to you, “Grace and peace from Him who was and is and is to come. He has made us kings and priests to His God and Father. All the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. He is the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last. He is clothed with a garment down to His feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. His eyes are like a flame of fire. His voice is like the sound of many waters. Out of His mouth goes a sharp two-edged sword and His countenance is like the sun shining in strength. When I saw Him I fell at His feet as dead. He told me not to be afraid. He said that He is alive forevermore.”
What happened at the resurrection?
Miracles happened! Our Lord, who had now tuned nature on its head by transforming into His eternal supernatural state, rose from the grave and appeared only to those who knew Him. He never appeared once to the unsaved of the day. The ascension into the clouds from the Mount of Olives subsequent to the resurrection, with all eyes watching in amazement, was now a normal thing for our Lord.
Resurrection puts the supernatural seal of God on the entire Bible and all true Christian experience.
Resurrection is an extremely powerful hope for all believers. It is the true ultimate death killer. Resurrection kills death. Resurrection forever places the believer out of touch and out of reach of all the enemies of God, including the final enemy...death.
Now in His risen state our Lord has also changed from a Lamb to a Lion! Now He is and will be a terror to devils, demons and all those outside of the Kingdom of God.
The great tragedy of all the unsaved is that they think Yeshua is a gentle, meek and mild lamb, forever offering forgiveness to everyone. In fact after resurrection He maintains the Lamb character only and exclusively for those who are His.
Of course He still offers salvation to anyone who would respond until the Second Coming, but then He is the Lion of terror to all who reject Him.
The power of Resurrection:
Many professing Christians without the spark of God’s life in their hearts, believe very loosely in some Bible doctrines. To them it is pure doctrine, dead as stone. When you talk to them about some of the spectacular living doctrines of our Lord, you can see that no one is at home! Their lives are normal, average and empty. They are one with the world as are their opinions. They have no spiritual conversation; their word is not “seasoned with salt”. Their god is materialism with a Santa-like Jesus in the distant background of their lives.
They have no insight or understanding of spiritual truth for one great reason and here it is:
Philippians 3:10 That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings and being conformed to His death, if by any means I may attain to the resurrection of the dead.”
The only way to this power is through the cross. “Being conformed to His death” is the work of the cross in us. “The fellowship of His sufferings” relates to us taking up our own cross daily. That is what brings power to us.
As true believers we have the power of the resurrection in our hearts. This power ignites the word of God bringing it to life in us. As we get to know our wonderful Messiah and Saviour more deeply and experientially this power to live the Christian life increases and flows freely to all areas.
You can’t manufacture this power. You can’t name it and claim it either. There it is in that verse, that is how it comes to us.
It is not of ourselves; it is of our Lord and His death and resurrection. That is the key!
This is the distinguishing factor and a great gulf of division between those born of God and those who are not; even though some of them think they are believers.
By the way, believing in things in the Bible does not make you a true believer. The Bible says, “Even the demons believe and shudder” You can believe the same things your neighbour believes but you can’t join his family. You can only be born into a family.
On a personal level:
At our resurrection (rapture) we will be forever changed and we will take on many of the same characteristics of out risen Lord. We will have bodies with both physical and spiritual dimensions. We will instantly know all things. We will be forever young! Have you ever wondered how you will age or what age you will be in the eternity?
Here is something very interesting. DNA has been found to mature to between the twenties and thirties. It never ages beyond that. Could it be that this is an indicator that our new bodies will remain at that age? That was also the age when our Messiah was resurrected.
We will have perfect bodies. There will be no sickness, deformity or any such thing. We will have refined personality and character with all the nasty traits gone. We will be able to appear anywhere at will.
In many ways adult baptism speaks of resurrection. As we are fully immersed in water, we die with Him. As we are brought up, that speaks of resurrection. Adult baptism is one of the foundational doctrines of Christ. With it missing, your foundation is all wrong.
Have you ever wondered why believers who have not been baptised in water or the Spirit always have a problem distinguishing between the Kingdom of God and the world? It’s because the world comes in through that hole in their foundation.
These people never get truly free from enslavement to the world and its ways, and by extension, its god!
The rejection of resurrection:
Resurrection is part of the very foundational doctrine of Christ:
Hebrews 6:1-2 “...Let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and faith towards God, of the doctrine of baptisms and laying on of hands; of resurrection of the dead and eternal judgement.”
If you reject resurrection you are also rejecting eternal judgment. (Note the link in the verse above). You then become your own judge. You will be an evil judge. You will judge what is of God as that of the devil and vice versa. You will become a judge of God and His word...a very stupid person!
If you remove any of these key doctrines, your foundation is flawed and your ‘house’ will fall down.
If you remove either the cross or the resurrection, you are left with pure humanism and its god Satan.
If you reject the resurrection you are left with “nihilism” This is the philosophy of nothingness. It equates with meaninglessness and hopelessness. You are left with confusion and inner turmoil. Your soul will be restless as Satan makes his messy home in your heart.
At the end of your resurrection-rejecting day you will be left with the eternal torment, the greatest most devastating regret and sorrow imaginable. This is the terror of sceptics.
If you reject the bodily resurrection of our Lord, believer or unbeliever, Satan will replace it with other versions of resurrection. eg. Reincarnation!!
Today there are many who believe in a resurrection; but what they believe is doctrines of demons. Some believe that resurrection is changing from one from of political activity to another. Some believe that liberation theology is in fact resurrection in action.
Some believe that resurrection is some form of reincarnation.
Some believe that resurrection is anything you want it to be as long as it’s not the bodily, physical resurrection of Yeshua.
Some believe that resurrection is some nebulous distant theology with no association to the Second Coming.
If resurrection is so important and such a powerful key, obviously the devil will interfere and try to counterfeit it. The so called resurrection of the antichrist after he is slain will be one event that will amaze and deceive the world. But there are many more subtle deceptions to be aware of.
The recent stories in literature claiming that Jesus was married and had children are evil and will bear evil fruit. Someday somewhere some people will arise claiming to be descendants of our Lord, having His pure sin-free blood in them.
They will then claim to be as pure as our Messiah. They will declare that they are the new Messiah and are to be followed.
By the way, the word Easter has nothing to do with the resurrection. Easter is all about worshipping the Babylonian goddess of sex. This was done by entering the Ishtar (Easter) gate and having sex with sex slaves in the pagan temple. This evil goddess was surrounded with fertility symbols of eggs and rabbits.
Believing in the resurrection will not get you saved. The only way to resurrection is through the cross. This is the new birth, followed by water baptism, and Spirit baptism.
The earth shattering truth of Resurrection:
There are many deep, profound truths related to the resurrection of our Lord, but there is one big overriding shocking fact. If the resurrection is true, He is alive now and coming again soon. If He is coming again, He is coming in judgement. The judgment of God on every unbeliever is associated with the Second Coming which is associated with resurrection in the first place. If there was no resurrection there will be no literal Second Coming and no eternal judgment.
If He rose again, where is now? He’s not in some grave. He is preparing a place for those who are saved.
If the resurrection is real and revealed in your life, it will have dramatic effects. It will lead you into Biblical holiness and purity now in preparation for soon coming great glory. It will make you strange and other-worldly! Those who have no sight or revelation of resurrection are bound to worldliness.
The incredible tragedy of the unsaved is that they will be resurrected, and then immediately sent from the Great White Throne Judgement to an eternal prison.
Everything and everyone must and will be affected by resurrection. Those who have bowed their lives to our Messiah and His word beforehand are eternally safe.
Resurrection and rapture:
Pre, mid, post...who cares! Actually in the real great scheme of things there is only a seven year difference. Rapture is part of resurrection. Its results are eternal. At the rapture we will be transformed and changed in a blinding flash into our eternal resurrection, supernatural bodies.
Resurrection is closely associated with eternity, victory, liberty, and everything truly good in the universe.
Resurrection and the thought of our own resurrection is the most exciting and thrilling thing one can imagine. It is the culmination of our faith and the final victory over all the works of the devil.
The resurrection has dramatic effects on all of creation. Nature itself will be released from all the powers of darkness. The whole of creation will be new and just the way it was supposed to be before the fall of man. The entire universe will be new and free, cleansed from the effects of sin and Satan forever.
Romans 8:21 “The creation itself will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.”
This verse above indicates that in eternity we will have a close association with renewed creation and nature. (I can’t wait!)
The final dramatic act:
Resurrection saw its transition to the ascension at the Mount of Olives. This will again be the focus of the world’s attention at the Second Coming. On one side of this mountain is the Temple Mount and on the other side a fair way on is the Jezreel valley, the scene of Armageddon. One side represents the Lamb and the other the Lion. One side represents those that are His and the other those who are not.
At the Second Coming, it will be too late for all unbelievers to escape hell.
The resurrection, ascension and Second Coming of our Lord is the great divide.
John 11:25 “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me though he die yet he shall live.”
Romans 8:11 “If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies, through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
I took this picture in the beautiful Namaqualand. This entire landscape for over 1000kms “resurrects” once a year with billions of wild flowers.
Shalom and grow in grace!
