- Israeli election: The final result is still up in the air, but it seems like Netanyahu will be able to put together a coalition favouring Likud and himself, as at 21st September.
- Oil wars have the potential to cripple the world economy. When the US attacks Iran, Iran will attack Israel and "pop goes the weasel!"
- New US imposed sanctions on Iran's banking fraternity will further cripple their collapsing economy. = Hooks in jaws? (Ezekiel 38:4)
These will change on Sundays or as the Lord leads.
Isaiah 42:16 “I will bring the blind (Israel) by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known, I will make darkness light before them and crooked places straight.”
Micah 7:8-9 “Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; when I fall I will arise, when I sit in darkness the Lord will be a light to me...He will bring me forth to the light, and I will see His righteousness.
Isaiah 29:18 “In that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of the obscurity of darkness.”
Shabbat (Sabbath) begins on Fridays at 6pm and ends on Saturdays at 6pm. The purpose is to help the church and Israel become reconciled in Messiah and to identify the rift, and the needed restoration. There is much in the church that needs to change before it can be fully reconciled with the Jew. Likewise, changes in Jewish thinking are also needed.
20th September 2019
Shabbat Shalom to all!
The exciting wait:
We remain in an impasse relating to the Israeli election outcome, and many other prophetic developments.
It’s as though God has put His finger on the pause button. It won’t be for long!
Don’t you just wish things would get moving and hurry up?
We must not try to ‘move’ things ourselves, in our time instead of looking to God to move in His time. But to be fully on His side, we need to grin and bear it!
I do expect things to suddenly escalate, perhaps in a most unexpected and dramatic way. Once the ball does get rolling, it is likely to roll very fast. One thing I do know for sure is that at the end of the day, everything will have worked out God’s way exactly and in His exact time. So we can rest (impatiently) in that!
The recent Iranian attack on Saudi oil Installations needs to be addressed.
Why did Iran hit Saudi Arabia? These two nations have been at each other’s throats for years. They have a deep rooted ancient hatred for each other’s brand of Islam. It is primarily a religious conflict.
Saudi Arabia was the home of the queen of Sheba in the Bible. It is identified as the land of Sheba and Dedan (Ezekiel 38:13), which is WW111 also called Gog and Magog. (Dedan is Yemen today)
Interestingly, the Ezekiel prophecy aligns Sheba (Saudi Arabia) with a group of nations which can be identified as the major western nations including the USA of today. This alliance is Israel-friendly as revealed in that prophecy, as they come to Israel defence.
What is so interesting about this is that only a few years ago this sort of alliance (Saudi Arabia, the US, Israel) would be so far out of the question!
The point is that Iran with pre-loaded religious hatred for the Saudi’s, now sees this alliance with whom they call the “great Satan” and the “lesser Satan,” the US and Israel.
Add to this Iran’s attempts to hit the world economy through its lifeline of black gold – oil.
Add to this the consistent, repeating statements of extreme hatred for Israel by Iran. If you have an arch-enemy who repeatedly says he is going to destroy you, that should raise you to action.
And then finally, what Iran really hates is the fact that Israel has been chosen by God for His purpose and that the US has been chosen by God to stand with Israel. So it’s a conflict with strong spiritual undertones as well.
Now, let’s add to this the fact that Bible prophecy has a 100% fulfilment record. I think it’s not a good idea to own property in Iran now!
So, looking at all of these factors, I hope you see how volatile, unsettled, unstable and explosive it is.
In these days particularly, we are in desperate need of prophetic glasses. We need to see, know and understand what the ancient scriptures have to say. If not danger of deception lurks!
Israel is the real target. That’s not surprising.
Tragically, and unbeknown to them, the churches of replacement theology are allies of Iran and enemies of God’s plan for Israel. Many churches are silent on the issue. Silence is tolerance and compliance!
Baa, baa black sheep have you any wool? Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full – all full of deceptive disease. That’s the state of many ministries today relating to Israel!
So, how do you think it will all play out? The Bible tells us.
The Jews have a chilling chant relating to the Holocaust – “never again” but tragically, the Bible does reveal that a new holocaust, very different to the original will occur on Israel’s way to glory. The world has learnt nothing and neither has much of the church!
Israel please know and understand that there is a fast growing community of Christians who love you, and God’s plans for you, who stand with you and for you, and pray and fast for you regularly.
Iran is stirring in her final hatred for Israel. Iran has said numerous times that it wants to wipe Israel off the map. Well, guess who gets wiped off the map?
Jeremiah 49:36-37 “Against Elam (modern Iran) I will bring the four winds from four quarters of heaven and scatter them towards those winds. There shall be no nation where the outcasts of Elam will not go. I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies and before those who seek their life. I will bring disaster upon them, My fierce anger says the Lord; and I will send the sword after them, until I have consumed them.” (Ezekiel 38:5 = parallel.)
And here is a message to Iran about Israel from God:
Isaiah 61:7 “Instead of your shame (Israel) you shall have double honour, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be theirs.”
That's God’s “final solution:” Iran get's wiped off the map and Israel gets double honour!
Jeremiah 24:7 “Then I will give them (Israel) a heart to know Me...”
Do you hear the trumpet? Do you hear the knocking at the door of your heart to be ready?
Edition 486: September 10th 2019
These are words of life!
The Feast of Trumpets, also called Rosh Hashanah (The Jewish New Year) occurs this year on September 29th – October 1st (Leviticus 23:23-25) The seven feasts of the Lord are filled with idioms and important messages that we dare not avoid or ignore.
They plot the course of Israel from Passover to their coming salvation, and they plot the course of the work of God from the cross to the throne, they also plot the course of the major events of Bible prophecy, with many astounding, hidden messages within.
Each of the feasts, in biblical order, has a historic fulfilment as well as a prophetic fulfilment.
The feasts are: ●Passover (the cross), ●Unleavened bread (holiness) ●Firstfruits (resurrection) ●Pentecost (church age) ●Trumpets (rapture /tribulation start) ●Atonement (wrath judgement) ●Tabernacles (Messiah dwelling with us).
In these amazing feasts we see history from the original Passover, representing the events of the cross, the course of the church age, the rapture, the tribulation, the Second Coming and Millennium.
We see the grand plan for Israel from being elected, rejected, regathered, repented and to finally being accepted.
In the feasts we see God’s plan through the ages for Israel and for the church!
In terms of fulfilment, right now we are at the transition from the first four feasts, fulfilled in the events of the cross. We will shortly see the close of the church age and the start of the tribulation period, which are seen the final three feasts. The next due for fulfilment is The Feast of Trumpets.
This may be the most important Feast of the Lord! In this edition, I will outline a few biblical basics and present you with some pure logic, and reveal some amazing messages. We must know what to be aware of, what to look for and what to avoid and ignore.
Basics of the Feast of Trumpets:
Here are some of the meanings of this feast:
Rosh Hashana: Head of the year. Yom Teruah: Day of shofar blowing. Yom Hadin: Day of Judgment. Yom Hazikaron: Days of awe. Yom Hakesesh: Day of concealment. Yom Ha-Zekaron: Day of remembrance. The feast is characterised by: The coronation of the King, the Resurrection day.
This feast day is also known as “The day of which no one knows the day and hour,” because it begins on one of two days - when the new-moon is sighted.
The feast is the start of the “high holy days of awe.”
Leviticus 23:2 “Speak to the children of Israel and say to them: The Feasts of the Lord are, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts.”
Colossians 2:16-17 “Let no one judge you in food or in drink or regarding a festival or a new moon or Sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Messiah.”
We see in the verses above that they are the feasts of the Lord. They are a holy convocation and that they are the shadows of things to come. We dare not remove them or change their order.
By the way you could quite accurately say that the Babylonian / Catholic created feasts of Easter and Christmas in which the pig is substituted for lamb at the main meal, is of the false, counterfeit lord!
1 Corinthians 10:11“All these things (Old Covenant) happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages has come.”
The feasts are not exclusively for Israel as some teach. Our Lord, as well as the apostles and the early church all participated in the feasts. The rejection of the importance of the feasts is a brick in the wall. We must tear it down to build up. (Jeremiah 31:28)
I’m not suggesting that born-again Christians need to partake in the feasts in a legalistic manner, but we should know them, know their messages, approve of them, bless them and support them. For the many that do practice them – they already know that there is a blessing upon it.
The Hebrew month of Elul (preceding Rosh Hashanah, which begins in the month of Tishrei.) traditionally sees the trumpet blown once a day to warn the people to be ready and return to the Lord. However on one day the trumpet is not to be blown. This is called the “hidden day” Elul 29, the day of release at end of a Shemita year. The symbolic reason is to hide the coming event from Satan. This also ties in with the words of our Lord: “No one knows the day or hour.”
Traditionally, on this feasts, apples dipped in honey are eaten. Pomegranates are eaten. The crown of the pomegranate when viewed from above forms a perfect Star of David pattern. In fact that is the origin of the national symbol of Israel, which comes from the pomegranates attached to the robe of the high priest.
The Feast of Trumpets begins as the new moon is sighted, beginning the Hebrew New Year. It is the only feast that begins at a variable time. It could be one of two days, because the sighting of the new moon could be on either day.
So, no one knows the exact day or hour. When the new-moon is sighted by two witnesses, the Shofar sounds and the Feast begins.
The word “Shofar” (trumpet) in Hebrew is Strong’s H 3104 – Yowbel. Meaning a rams horn trumpet. But did you know that “Yowbel” is also the word for “Jubilee?” There’s a message in that!
Rabbi Jonathan Cahn’s new book, “The Oracle” is excellent. He deals with some of this tie up between jubilee and shofar in the book.
There is a very interesting Greek word used for “trumpet” on some occasions in the Bible:
Trumpet: Strong’s G4536 – Salpigx: Meaning a shaking, quivering or reverberating sound.
This word refers more to the sound than the trumpet itself. In other words a shofar can make a salpigx sound if blown accordingly.
This feast is full of trumpets blasts, more than one hundred, all of incredible meaning.
Here’s the interesting thing: At the end of the trumpet blasts the last trump sounds. It is a slow, shaking, quivering reverberating sound.
But why that and what does it mean? Read on!
The last trumpet and the twinkling eye:
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 “Behold I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep (die) but we shall be changed, in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, at the last trump. For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
In this exciting discourse above, Paul is using analogies that would be very familiar to the early church, with its largely Jewish membership and background. He is using the lingo of the feasts!
Some say that the “last trump” is the same last trump used by John on Patmos in the Revelation. Quite simply, the Revelation had not yet been written when Paul was writing, so he could not have been referring to that “last trump” There is a last trump for Israel at the end of the tribulation and a last trump for the church age.
Let’s step back a moment. There are 101 trumpet blasts to be made on the Feast of Trumpets. They are required to have a variety of durations, with the last blast, being the long quivering blast.
Here are the blasts:
Tekiah = 1 long blast. Shevaim = 3 short blasts Teruah- 9 quick blasts in quick succession. The three groups of blast are repeated three times and then again eleven times. This adds to 99 blasts. The one missing blast would make it 100. So, the last trump is the 100th.
The term “last trump” is very specific. In fact the word is “trump” and not trumpet, which could mean any trumpet. The word “trump” in the Oxford Dictionary refers to a particular blast or sound from a trumpet.
This is very important! Why must the last trump be the long shaky, reverberating, quivering blast? It is because it represents a powerful, great shaking! It represents the start of the tribulation period, where everything that can be shaken will be shaken. The rapture occurs right at the beginning of this great world shaking!
The last trump then, is distinct from all the other trumpet sounds or notes of the Feast of Trumpets.
Let’s go back to our key verse above (1 Corinthians 15:51-52). The word “moment” in the original is “atomo” – the smallest division of time possible. That’s how quick the rapture will be. Then we see another interesting phrase – “twinkling of an eye.”
This is also a powerful idiom originating in the Feast of Trumpets. It relates to when the rapture will happen. The twinkling of an eye is that time period at dusk, just as the sun sets on the horizon forming a brief twinkle.
Is this giving us another clue that this feast will be marked by the rapture, and even that the rapture will occur in the early evening?
So, Paul is using the language and idioms of the Feast of Trumpets in his rapture discourse of 1 Corinthians 15!
Here we see, that the rapture will occur in a blinding flash and then the slow drawn out shaking and quivering of the world in tribulation will begin.
The restrainer of evil, the Spirit filled church will be gone in a flash, with all the God haters rejoicing. This will usher in the greatest shaking and manifestation of evil ever seen.
I suspect that in the tribulation, many who hated the church will wish that it was still here to bring at least some sort of restraint into the world! (Matthew 24:21, Joel 2:2)
Don’t be fooled, the last trump is the great sign and a massive wake-up blast to the Jews, and those left behind.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 “The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Messiah will rise first, then we who are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.”
US President Trump:
With all the "trumps" of this feast, some would wonder about the relevance or tie-up with President Trump. I would not go too far with this, but I for one, most certainlt don't think it is a coincidence that we have modern day Trump blast, friendly to Israel at this particular time!
After all it is God who raises up national leaders and brings them down for His ultimate purposes, in His time. (Daniel 2:21)
The nay sayers:
These are the days of required discernment in times of terrible trickery.
As with all important things of God, the devil confuses and brings in doubt, denial and deception.
Jeremiah 6:17 “I have set watchmen on your walls saying, ‘listen to the sound of the trumpet’! But they said; we will not listen.”
Be very sure of this one fact: If there is no last trump to end the church age, the church goes through the tribulation! You can’t have a dispensation of grace still within the Old Covenant dispensation. One must end before the next begins (immediately)
There are many Bible teachers out there who are spiritually banished to Palooka Island. They have no insight and are of the spirit of the world and all its error. Leave them. Even in this issue of the feasts there is a lot of dangerous error out there.
For some reason they hate the Feast of Trumpets most.
If you deny the importance and relevance of the last trump, the reason is generally because you are of replacement theology.
The reason some reject the Feast of Trumpets or change the order of the feasts is to get rid of the pre-tribulation rapture.
There are many familiar verses of scripture written by Paul where he uses very familiar idioms known and respected by the early church, which was mostly Jewish. Today, thanks to the evils of the Catholic church, these idioms and symbols are unfamiliar to the modern church except for some.
Many simply follow each other in the errors. They have come under the same spirits.
Many teach that the rapture will be fulfilled by and in the Feast of Pentecost. If that is so, everything in this edition is meaningless trash. If that were so, what would fulfil trumpets? The order would be out and many things will not add up.
The original Feast of Pentecost was about the giving of the law on this day when Israel was at the foot of Mt. Sinai. Moses came down the mountain with the law in stone on this day. It is therefore prophetically symbolic of the law being changed from “in stone”, to “in our hearts” which occurred on the New Covenant day of Pentecost as the church age began. Acts 2:1-4
The Feast of Pentecost, logically and in order, comes as the Old Covenant closes and the New begins. There are certain aspects of Pentecost that could associate it with the rapture, but then there are also aspects that fit any of the feasts.
The Feast of Pentecost was fulfilled by Pentecost – simple!
And now just to confuse the crowd that say “no one knows the day or hour, not even the Lord.” Here is a verse from the Bible for them to put in their promise box:
Zechariah 14:7 “It shall be one day which is known to the Lord, neither day nor night, but at evening time it shall happen.”
Much false doctrines and errors have the purpose of changing established doctrine and getting rid of key elements of our Christian life. It always knocks on to other doctrines.
God’s desire is for all to be saved. He knows what’s coming and when!
1 Thessalonians 5:9 “God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation.”
Imagine having a terrible life with all sorts of tragedies and things going wrong, remaining unsaved, and then going to hell! Imagine also having a terrible life with all sorts of things going wrong, but getting saved and then going to heaven forever!
The Feasts of Trumpets proclaims the rapture and hell on earth, for seven years. It intensifies to the wrath of God represented in the Feast called Yom Kippur (Days of Awe), but then comes the Feast of Tabernacles, where our God Himself lives with His own family in a whole new dispensation.
What an incredible journey!
The family of God in the very near future will all be united in supernatural wonder and glory – ready or not. (Better to be ready!)
1 Thessalonians 4:14 “For if we believe that Yeshua died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep (have died) in the Lord.”
Psalm 37:18 “The Lord knows the days of the upright and their inheritance shall be forever.”
By obedience to your calling you can live a fulfilled life with meaning purpose plan direction, discipline expectation mission and reward at the end of it all!
I took these two pictures in one of my old favourite places – the Drakensberg Mountains.
Shalom and grow in His Grace!
