Shabbat (Sabbath) begins on Fridays at 6pm and ends on Saturdays at 6pm. The purpose is to help the church and Israel become reconciled in Messiah and to identify the rift, and the needed restoration. There is much in the church that needs to change before it can be fully reconciled with the Jew. Likewise, changes in Jewish thinking are also needed.
8th November 2019
Shabbat Shalom to all!
The tree-huggers delight:
The Bible uses plants, trees, colours, animals, birds, numbers and more to describe people and nations. It is the subliminal symbols that are of great significance and meaning, especially in relation to Israel.
Did you realise that the entire course of Israel’s history is plotted in the trees? There is much more to these symbols and metaphors - for another time.
Here are some amazing messages blowing in the wind, relating to Israel.
►The Olive tree: (Romans 11)
These trees have very deep, well established roots. They are sometimes called eternal trees, because they are so hardy; they live for many thousands of years. An ancient olive tree appears to die, but then miraculously, new shoots appear out of the dead wood continuing its existence.
The olive tree produces a rich olive oil which has numerous uses, but is also a type of the Holy Spirit. Olive oil is required to keep the temple menorah flames burning. This symbolises light. Olive tree leaves are symbols of peace. Remember the dove bringing back an olive branch to the ark after the flood of judgement.
The root of the olive tree is symbolic of God Himself. The root is called, “holy.”
Biblically, there are two olive trees of importance. The natural olive tree, is symbolic of Israel, and the wild olive tree, is symbolic of the church. The wild olive branch was “grafted” into the natural olive tree, thus partaking of the goodness of the root.
The national emblem of Israel includes two olive branches.
An ancient olive tree grove:
►The Fig tree:
The fig tree is symbolic of spiritual fruitfulness after severe pruning or judgement. It relates to Israel in the tribulation period, awakening to spiritual life.
The fig tree is unique in that its blossoms appear before the leaves. It should have fruit appearing before the leaves. This is why our Lord cursed the unfruitful fig tree, causing it to die. The root was not destroyed though, and a new tree full of fruit, is about to appear.
When the disciples asked out Lord what would be the sign of His coming, He listed a number of judgements to fall on the world. But one of these was the sign of the fig tree.
Matthew 24:32-34 “learn the parable of the fig tree: When is branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that the summer is near. So also you when you see all these things, know that it is near, even at the very doors. Assuredly, I say to you, ‘this generation (of Jews) will be no means pass away till all these things are fulfilled.’”
Present day Zionism and the awakening of the Jews, as well as modern anti-Semitism are signs of the fig tree putting forth leaves and about to produce much spiritual fruit.
►The Almond tree:
The almond is the first tree to flower in its season, which at the end of winter. The flower has five petals to it, five being the number of grace. The temple menorah, a symbol of light, has oil cups or containers in the shape of almond flowers.
The Hebrew word for “almond” is “shakeid” which also means to “awake” and “watch”.
The almond is symbolic of Messiah’s resurrection. It speaks of the supernatural power of God as seen in Aaron’s almond branch that budded in one day. (Numbers 17:8)
Jeremiah 1:11-14 “The word of the Lord came to me saying, ‘Jeremiah, what do you see?’ I said, ‘I see the branch of an almond tree.’ Then the Lord said, ‘you have seen well for I am about to perform My word.’ And the word of the Lord came to me a second time, saying, ‘what do you see? And I said, a boiling pot and it is facing away from the north.’ Then the Lord said to me: ‘Out of the north calamity shall break forth on all the inhabitants of the land.’”
The message here is that as the almond (Israel) flowers and buds she will be plunged into the tribulation period.
Jeremiah 31:28 “It shall come to pass that as I have watched over them to pluck up, to break down, to throw down, to destroy and to afflict them, so I will watch over them to build and plant says the Lord. In those days they shall say no more, ‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes...’”
Psalm 80:8-9 “You have brought a vine out of Egypt, You have cast out the nations and planted it. You prepared room for it, and caused it to take deep root and it filled the land.”
This vine, Israel, is described as “the choicest vine.” But it is a vine that also has within it a “winepress.” (Isaiah 5:1-2) The “winepress” speaks of the crushing tribulation to come!
God planted Israel as a “noble vine” of the highest quality, yet it became an alien, degenerate vine. This speaks of Israel's rebellion to Messiah. (Jeremiah 2:21)
As with the olive and the fig tree, the vine will bear its good fruit in its time, which is just around the corner!
►Other trees symbolic of Israel:
Joel 1:12 (Context: Israel is invaded in the tribulation period) “The vine has dried up and the fig tree has withered; and the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree. All the trees of the field have withered. Surely joy has withered away from the sons of men.
But we know that Israel's story does not end in the tribulation. Joy will return.
The Cedar: Symbol of power, royalty and majesty. The Oak: Symbol of strength and stability. The Palm: Symbol of military victory and victory in Messiah. The Pomegranate: Symbol of abundance and joyfulness. The Acacia: Symbol of beauty. The Myrtle: Symbol of God’s favour and blessing.
The grand summary:
Israel is: Deeply rooted in God with an eternal future. Israel contains the light-producing oil of the Spirit of God and soon will be Messiah’s light of the world! Israel will be at peace soon. The church is a “wild” family member of Israel through our joint root in God. Israel will become fully fruitful after pruning. Israel’s ripening fruit is a sign of Messiah’s coming. Israel will bud and come to life supernaturally in a day and then bring the light of salvation to the Gentile world. Israel will go through the winepress of tribulation, be attacked from the north and fall under calamity, because she was the choicest, noble vine and yet gave herself to paganism. (Baal) Finally Israel will fulfil God’s call and plan in power, majesty and strength, abundance, and blessing.
All of this is revealed in the nature of this forest of trees, and the corresponding Bible verses. How can you not be a tree-hugger!
Edition 469: May 14th 2019
Israel – The Sign:
These are words of life!
Next in the great drama: The rapture of the church, the Lion of Judah is recognised by the Jews, as the seven-year tribulation period begins with wars and great turmoil.
The great shock will be when the Jews see that their Messiah is not a Catholic, but a Jew! I think the Catholic church will get as great a shock when they finally see that their Christmas Jesus is the antichrist and the real Messiah is a Jew!
The tribulation period is about to begin!
Jeremiah 30:3-7 “I will bring back from captivity My people Israel and Judah, says the Lord, and I will cause them to dwell in their land...Alas for that day is great, so none is like it; and it shall be the time of Jacob’s trouble. (Tribulation period)
Note in the verse above the link between the return of the Jews to their land and the tribulation period. We could accurately call the present return to the Promised Land, the spiritual awakening or return as well, which, in fact is just beginning now.
You have to correctly identify the major types and shadows of the Bible. If you don’t, you will miss-apply many scripture and in many cases land in error.
End-time Babylon can only be the world-system as a whole. That would include the political, commercial, military and religious elements. A clear reading of all the verses in the Bible relating to end-time Babylon absolutely proves this.
There are a few die-hards out there who continue to identify end-time Babylon as literal rebuilt Babylon in Iraq. Nothing could further from the truth. Don’t just take what others say.
The Bible also speaks of Jerusalem, in type as being “Babylon, Egypt and Sodom”.
Revelation 11:8 “Their dead bodies (2 witnesses) will lie in the street of the great city which is spiritually called, Sodom and Egypt where also our Lord was crucified.”
Egypt (with Babylon) is another clear type of the world system. Israel had become paganised with all sorts of worldly influences. Sodom is a clear reference to the sin of homosexuality for which Israel, particularly Tel Aviv, is renowned today.
The verse above refers in type to the work of the cross covering the sin of the world, and that Israel has become worldly, although her physical return to the land is still on the go.
Before we continue, please understand that the number seventy is the number of judgement. It is also connected with Jerusalem.
The number seventy one in Hebrew means: “Fullness, Holy Spirit, Dove!”
The declaration and the decree:
●Israel declared independence as a state on May 14th 1948. The declaration was confirmed by the UN (League of Nations back then). The very next day, six Arab armies attacked Israel, in what became known as the War of Independence. But it was only on January 25th 1949 that Israel became an official state with David Ben-Gurion being elected Prime Minister.
Yes, independence took place in May 1948, seventy one years ago, but the workings of it only came about in 1949, seventy years ago. So, is it seventy or seventy one years? I think it doesn’t really make that much difference, since both are significant.
Does this mean that the full seventy years are not quite up yet? My point is that in God’s scheme of things everything will work out perfectly. Our Lord always does things decently and in order and sometimes we only see this after the fact. (1 Corinthians 14:40)
Anyway, Israel has been a nation of the world for seventy years give or take an inch.
Here now is an item of great interest: Israel went into Babylonian captivity for seventy years due to her rebellion and sin. Babylon is always a type of the world.
So, we can accurately say that Israel has been in modern day captivity to the world and its ways for seventy years, hence the comparison.
●The decree of Cyrus: (Ezra 1:1-11, 5:17, 2 Chronicles 36:23 Isaiah 44:28, 45:1)
The Babylonian captivity ended with the decree of Cyrus. He ordered that the temple be rebuilt in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount and that the children of Israel return to their Promised Land.
The purpose of ending the captivity was related to the rebuilt temple. In other words, it was so that Israel could return to holiness. Don’t miss that point! At the same time, the walls of Jerusalem were ordered to be rebuilt.
During the exile many Jews had fallen into pagan worship. The return to the land with a new temple ended this.
We see the same principle in the great Exodus from Egypt: Exodus 7:16 “And you (Moses) shall say to him (Pharaoh) Let My people go, so that they may serve Me in the wilderness...”
So, now as we look at these powerful types and shadows, do you see what I see?
Immediately after the captivity the command to rebuild the temple comes along, for the reason of Israel’s return to holiness, just like the Exodus.
Now, with that in mind, have a look at this verse below and note the time frame.
Jeremiah 29:10 “Thus says the Lord: ‘After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place.”
At the same time and perhaps part of the modern “decree of Cyrus” will come the fateful peace covenant with the antichrist, kicking off the seven year tribulation period as the restrainer – the true church, is removed from the earth, before the tribulation.
But something will cause Israel to immediately become jealous and angry (Romans 10:19). That can only be the rapture, with them being left behind. Whatever this great sign is it will also cause Israel to immediately repent and become holy.
Isaiah 66:19 “I will set a sign among them (Jews)...they shall declare My glory among the Gentiles.”
The word “sign” above, (Strong’s H226) means a supernatural, miraculous sign, event or warning. It is the same word used in the verse below:
Isaiah 7:14 “The Lord Himself will give you (O house of David) a sign: Behold the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son and shall call His name Immanuel.”
This is a parallel to the sign of Revelation 12:1-5 which is Israel giving birth to the Jewish Messiah (not the church.) A further great parallel is found in Isaiah 66:8 speaking of a nation (Zion) being born in a day. Again this is NOT the church as taught by the deceived. Verses 10, and 13 confirm this identifying the subject as Jerusalem, Israel and the not the church.
We don’t know exactly what this future sign will be that God will place in Israel, but we do know it has to be of supernatural origin.
I believe this sign to the Jews, will be the rapture of the church, and then sudden insight of who their Messiah is. The veil of spiritual blindness on the Jews is a supernatural mystery. (Romans 11:25) It will be removed suddenly.
At this time, the dreadful Revelation riders of the storm will ride into a dark, dark world. “Hello darkness my old friend,” will be the unsaid chant of the tribulation masses.
“I can see clearly now the veil is gone,” will be the song of the Jews! What incredible joy this time will be, (as well as suffering)! Tribulation arises and long awaited repentance falls on Israel – glory!
The sign is the rapture, but the more detailed sign is the Jews seeing a virgin-born Jewish Messiah, whom they “pierced.” (Zechariah 12:10) They will suddenly understand what that means. If there is no virgin birth, there is no Messiah and no salvation. They cannot look upon their Messiah and not see the virgin-born, sinless, crucified, risen and coming again Yeshua Ha Mashiach !
By the way, if you are born-again you are virgin-born, with no sin in your spirit. – Think about it!
The main point here is that if the Babylonian captivity is represented in Israel’s 70 years as a nation, we are right at the very end, and in fact on borrowed time. If this analogy is true, it also suggests that the time will end with a fresh “decree of Cyrus” to build the temple. It suggests that we are right on the very verge.
Add to this all the other requirements of prophecy like the war in Syria reaching its dramatic climax, the war of Gog and Magog (Russia, Iran and others) the war of Psalm 83 and much more.
The doom of the nations:
Be absolutely sure of one thing: God will deal severely in judgement with all the nations that have negatively influenced and affected Israel. Nations that have led them deeper into sin, will pay the price. Churches that have done the same, are in the same boat!
I strongly suggest that you read well and study out the following portions of scripture. They have a powerful prophetic message for today. You can’t join all the Spirit-less idiots of the world and say – you didn’t know about these things.
Isaiah 49:22-26 “Behold, I will lift My hand in an oath to the nations and set up My standard (Lit=banner /sign) for the peoples; they shall bring your sons (Israel) in their arms and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders...they (the nations) shall bow down to you (Israel), with their faces to the earth, and lick up the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am the Lord...I will contend with him who contends with you. I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh...All flesh shall know that I the Lord am your Saviour, and your mighty Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob (Israel)
Jeremiah 30:11 “For I am with you (Israel) to save you; though I make a full end of the nations where I scattered you, yet I will not make a complete end of you.”
Jeremiah 30:14-17 “All your lovers have forgotten you...your sins have increased and your sorrow is incurable...Therefore all those devour you shall be devoured and all your adversaries, every one shall go into captivity...because they called you an outcast, saying: ‘This is Zion, no one seeks her.’”
Jeremiah 31:31-33 “Behold the days are coming says the Lord, when I make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah...I will put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God and they shall be My people.”
A lot of people say (rightly) that the coming tribulation judgements are because of the sin of the world and that God’s grace has run out, but there is another overlooked, very important reason: It is because of the sin of the world against Israel, and the influence of the world’s sin on her!
Revelation 18:21-24 “A mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence the great city Babylon, shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore...For by your sorcery all the nations were deceived, and in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth.”
By the way, if you are one of those who believe that end-time Babylon is literal Babylon in Iraq, please explain to me the above verse!!
The tribulation period sees a number of churches on earth serving Satan during this time. They are primarily the Catholic church and other orthodox churches as well as any and all that do not preach and teach salvation exclusively through the cross, which is the death, burial and resurrection.
The Feast of Trumpets:
The Feast of Trumpets is the next of the seven feasts to find its prophetic fulfilment.
Personally, I love classical trumpet music. I love the sound of the shofar properly blown. They are all spine tingling. No wonder the Bible is full of trumpets and shofars, they are sensational, producing sounds of warning, calling, and of freedom, liberty and glory!
We see what can only be a description of the rapture occurring with a trumpet blast in Revelation 4:1-2, 1Corinthians 15:52, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.
There is so much of such value wrapped up in the Feast of Trumpets, but I will share some more as we get closer to the coming, last one. (September 29th) Yes I did say “last one.” That’s just to spark some debate and cause some arguments out there.
As we see this Feast approaching, we will know much more. It is of major importance.
There is a sign coming that will cause the metamorphosis of the Jews into children of God.
Ezekiel 37:25-28 “Then they shall dwell in the land that I have give to Jacob My servant...I will make a covenant of peace with them...My tabernacle (temple) also shall be with them. Indeed, I shall be their God and they shall be My people. The nations shall know that I the Lord sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forever more.”
The rapture of the true church, and Israel being saved is the milestone, the banner to the nations and the great sign.
False doctrines with dangerous tentacles:
Very often false doctrine becomes worse due to the knock on effects to other doctrines and verses, and tentacles of error that cause problems. Sometimes these knock effects are only seen further down the line when they actually knock on and appear.
Sometimes they are taught inadvertently. But almost always they are as a response to a spirit of error, in the teacher.
Some errors are just personal differences and no big deal. Others are curse producing, and others will land you in hell.
In these days, because we are in a highly spiritually charged environment, where Satan knows his days are numbered, (Revelation 12:12) we must be more vigilant.
Perhaps the biggest and worst false doctrine is replacement theology. It is highly toxic.
Replacement theology teaches that the church has replaced Israel. But, know this: This doctrine is not static. It is about to go through a revolutionary metamorphose into a far worse and deadly beast. It will swallow all of its present adherents and end up taking more than half the world to hell. I will soon share more on this terrible soon-coming deadly transformation.
If you, Mr. Wolf in the pulpit, preach and teach replacement theology in its current form, I have one very simple question for you:
Israel will soon repent and be saved. If the church is Israel, that then should mean that the church has to repent and be saved? How can the church, which has already been saved on repentance, be saved on repentance?
Know this and know it very well. Replacement theology is an evil spirit. It is a high ranking evil spirit with hordes of demons under its control.
Be warned again of the coming mutation of replacement theology, Satan’s spearhead.
Satan and his world will do all they can to get rid of Israel. He knows the plan of God to bring them to salvation and use them as His agents in the tribulation period. If Satan can neutralise the Jews, make Israel part of a normal godless world he will. He will use the compromised, spineless, weak church as one of his arsenal of weapons.
The pagan, Babylonian, Baal worship doctrines of Easter and Christmas are not only false doctrines and pure heresy but are deeply offensive to Jews. They are barriers, obstacles and stumbling blocks to the Jews and pollute their view of Messiah.
Be discerning! Do not touch the teachings of those who have been in great error and not repented and broken free.
Alternatively, deep repentance is a wonderful cleanser. Truth is the only solid foundation. All error is like quicksand! You need the fullness of the Spirit to lead you and guide you. (John 16:13) Don’t be afraid of those who have gone off the rails a little and repented, made right and come back. Many times they have a whole lot more to offer than before.
We could call the seventy years of Israel’s independence, their modern captivity to the world’s ways. But more than that it is their time of pregnancy and hibernation! It is their time of incubation.
Israel is on the verge of repentance. Repentance is a powerful regenerative force. It lifts you up and renews you and cleans you up. It makes you right now even when you were wrong. It is empowering. Above all, repentance produces acceptance and deep rest.
The entire world will soon see the results of large scale national repentance and renewal in Israel.
Even nature itself is anticipating and awaiting these things. It is groaning under the sin of man as it waits.
The beautiful, peaceful calls of the birds and insects and things natural are presently being subdued by the shattering piercing, howling sirens of sin. Soon – great peace!
The question is: Are you ready? If not why, and what are you going to do about it?
It’s a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God!
The trunk of the elephant and the baobab tree are similar. They are both beautiful giants of the African landscape and amongst my favourites! I took these two pictures in Botswana and the Limpopo region, respectively and blended them together.
Shalom and grow in His Grace!
