- Uranium found at new undeclared Iranian site. They are pushing the buttons alright! (The world, particularly the EU’s inability to bring Iran to book is giving them license to continue their march towards their repeated intended goal of attacking Israel.)
- Israel comes under heavy rocket attack from Gaza after the killing of Islamic Jihad terror leader. This morning (13th) rockets continue to fall on Israel. Palestinian Preseident says, "Israel must stop its aggression!"

- Bible prophecy is about to take another leap forward!
These will change on Sundays or as the Lord leads.
Exodus 19:5-6 “If you (Israel) will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation...”
Amos 9:15 “I will plant them (Israel) in their land, and no longer shall they be pulled up from the land I have given them, says the Lord God.”
Isaiah 41:11 “Behold all those who were incensed against you (Israel) shall be ashamed and disgraced; they shall be as nothing, and those who strive with you shall perish.”
Isaiah 44:18 “They do not know nor understand; for He has shut their eyes so they cannot see, and their hearts so they cannot understand.”
Shabbat (Sabbath) begins on Fridays at 6pm and ends on Saturdays at 6pm. The purpose is to help the church and Israel become reconciled in Messiah and to identify the rift, and the needed restoration. There is much in the church that needs to change before it can be fully reconciled with the Jew. Likewise, changes in Jewish thinking are also needed.

Shabbat Shalom to all!
The tree-huggers delight:
The Bible uses plants, trees, colours, animals, birds, numbers and more to describe people and nations. It is the subliminal symbols that are of great significance and meaning, especially in relation to Israel.
Did you realise that the entire course of Israel’s history is plotted in the trees? There is much more to these symbols and metaphors - for another time.
Here are some amazing messages blowing in the wind, relating to Israel.
►The Olive tree: (Romans 11)
These trees have very deep, well established roots. They are sometimes called eternal trees, because they are so hardy; they live for many thousands of years. An ancient olive tree appears to die, but then miraculously, new shoots appear out of the dead wood continuing its existence.
The olive tree produces a rich olive oil which has numerous uses, but is also a type of the Holy Spirit. Olive oil is required to keep the temple menorah flames burning. This symbolises light. Olive tree leaves are symbols of peace. Remember the dove bringing back an olive branch to the ark after the flood of judgement.
The root of the olive tree is symbolic of God Himself. The root is called, “holy.”
Biblically, there are two olive trees of importance. The natural olive tree, is symbolic of Israel, and the wild olive tree, is symbolic of the church. The wild olive branch was “grafted” into the natural olive tree, thus partaking of the goodness of the root.
The national emblem of Israel includes two olive branches.
An ancient olive tree grove:
►The Fig tree:
The fig tree is symbolic of spiritual fruitfulness after severe pruning or judgement. It relates to Israel in the tribulation period, awakening to spiritual life.
The fig tree is unique in that its blossoms appear before the leaves. It should have fruit appearing before the leaves. This is why our Lord cursed the unfruitful fig tree, causing it to die. The root was not destroyed though, and a new tree full of fruit, is about to appear.
When the disciples asked out Lord what would be the sign of His coming, He listed a number of judgements to fall on the world. But one of these was the sign of the fig tree.
Matthew 24:32-34 “learn the parable of the fig tree: When is branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that the summer is near. So also you when you see all these things, know that it is near, even at the very doors. Assuredly, I say to you, ‘this generation (of Jews) will be no means pass away till all these things are fulfilled.’”
Present day Zionism and the awakening of the Jews, as well as modern anti-Semitism are signs of the fig tree putting forth leaves and about to produce much spiritual fruit.
►The Almond tree:
The almond is the first tree to flower in its season, which at the end of winter. The flower has five petals to it, five being the number of grace. The temple menorah, a symbol of light, has oil cups or containers in the shape of almond flowers.
The Hebrew word for “almond” is “shakeid” which also means to “awake” and “watch”.
The almond is symbolic of Messiah’s resurrection. It speaks of the supernatural power of God as seen in Aaron’s almond branch that budded in one day. (Numbers 17:8)
Jeremiah 1:11-14 “The word of the Lord came to me saying, ‘Jeremiah, what do you see?’ I said, ‘I see the branch of an almond tree.’ Then the Lord said, ‘you have seen well for I am about to perform My word.’ And the word of the Lord came to me a second time, saying, ‘what do you see? And I said, a boiling pot and it is facing away from the north.’ Then the Lord said to me: ‘Out of the north calamity shall break forth on all the inhabitants of the land.’”
The message here is that as the almond (Israel) flowers and buds she will be plunged into the tribulation period.
Jeremiah 31:28 “It shall come to pass that as I have watched over them to pluck up, to break down, to throw down, to destroy and to afflict them, so I will watch over them to build and plant says the Lord. In those days they shall say no more, ‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes...’”
Psalm 80:8-9 “You have brought a vine out of Egypt, You have cast out the nations and planted it. You prepared room for it, and caused it to take deep root and it filled the land.”
This vine, Israel, is described as “the choicest vine.” But it is a vine that also has within it a “winepress.” (Isaiah 5:1-2) The “winepress” speaks of the crushing tribulation to come!
God planted Israel as a “noble vine” of the highest quality, yet it became an alien, degenerate vine. This speaks of Israel's rebellion to Messiah. (Jeremiah 2:21)
As with the olive and the fig tree, the vine will bear its good fruit in its time, which is just around the corner!
►Other trees symbolic of Israel:
Joel 1:12 (Context: Israel is invaded in the tribulation period) “The vine has dried up and the fig tree has withered; and the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree. All the trees of the field have withered. Surely joy has withered away from the sons of men.
But we know that Israel's story does not end in the tribulation. Joy will return.
The Cedar: Symbol of power, royalty and majesty. The Oak: Symbol of strength and stability. The Palm: Symbol of military victory and victory in Messiah. The Pomegranate: Symbol of abundance and joyfulness. The Acacia: Symbol of beauty. The Myrtle: Symbol of God’s favour and blessing.
The grand summary:
Israel is: Deeply rooted in God with an eternal future. Israel contains the light-producing oil of the Spirit of God and soon will be Messiah’s light of the world! Israel will be at peace soon. The church is a “wild” family member of Israel through our joint root in God. Israel will become fully fruitful after pruning. Israel’s ripening fruit is a sign of Messiah’s coming. Israel will bud and come to life supernaturally in a day and then bring the light of salvation to the Gentile world. Israel will go through the winepress of tribulation, be attacked from the north and fall under calamity, because she was the choicest, noble vine and yet gave herself to paganism. (Baal) Finally Israel will fulfil God’s call and plan in power, majesty and strength, abundance, and blessing.
All of this is revealed in the nature of this forest of trees, and the corresponding Bible verses. How can you not be a tree-hugger!
Edition 440: October 23rd 2018
Eternal worlds to come:
It’s a terrible, fast-deteriorating world descending like lightning into the pits!
The world is doomed to hell. The world is destined for glory.
Well, which is it? Glad you asked!
The world is moving faster and further away from all that is truly godly. We are in what the Bible calls “perilous times,” These end days are succinctly described in the Bible as the rapid deterioration of godly character, with the love of sin self and the world coming in like a flood.
“He has set eternity in our hearts.” People, worldwide at least sense coming eternity.
Everything God does has eternal consequences, especially relating to judgement upon sin.
The Christian can’t fit in with this world because he is holy, and because the world’s heart is not. We are essentially two people. Born of man and born of God. We are becoming more like what we have already become in heart. Tragically many Christians are becoming more like the world of man!
Are you treasuring up for yourself wrath, or are you treasuring up for yourself gold, silver and precious stones – forever? Are you drawn to the world or to overcoming the world?
There are a number of occasions in the Bible where God has supernaturally destroyed entire cities, as well as the entire world of that day.
It’s instructive to look at the reasons and see what we can learn for our day.
Bear in mind that all of these supernatural events occurred in Old Covenant times. God does not operate that way today in the church age, but will again very soon in the tribulation period, which technically, is the closing of the Old Covenant.
●The world in Noah’s day:
The world was destroyed by the supernatural act of God in a flood in the days of Noah. The reasons were many, including: Increasing wickedness, violence and perversions, occult and demonic activity.
2 Peter 2:5 “God did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly.”
There was a terrible spirit of complacency amongst the people then as well. They presumed that everything would continue as it had always done.
Matthew 24:37-39 “As in the days of Noah, so shall it be at the coming of the Son of Man, for they were eating, drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage until the day Noah entered the ark, and they did not know until the flood took them all away, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.”
The overall purpose of the flood was to cleanse the earth of all evil and restore it to righteousness.
●Sodom & Gomorrah were destroyed by instant supernatural fire because of the sin of homosexuality and excessive sexual perversions as well as with angelic beings manifesting as humans. Genesis 19:1-29,
Jude 1:7 “As Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality, and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”
2 Peter 2:6 “God turned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterwards would live ungodly.”
●Babylonwas destroyed for widespread sin, 2500 years ago, and the pride of the people (Chaldeans pride.) The city was never to rise again. (Isaiah 13:20-22, Jeremiah 51:64) But we see “Babylon the Great,” rising to be destroyed at the Second Coming. Here, Babylon is clearly a type of the end-time world-system and its orthodox religions.
The chief reason for its destruction was the pride of its elevated materialism and its commercial success. (This was the same reason for the fall of Lucifer.)
Babel, the same original word for Babylon, was a humanistic attempt to reach God by human works (building a tower of man-made bricks.) Babylon comes from the name Bab-ilim, meanings “gateway to God”. In Hebrew it means “confusion.”
Note in the verse below, Babylon is a clear type of the world system.
Isaiah 13:11 (Verse 1) “The burden against Babylon, which Isaiah saw.” “I will punish the world for its evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; I will halt the arrogance of the proud, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.”
Babylon and its tower represent the supernatural final destruction of God upon the whole world and their humanistic religions in the tribulation. (Revelation 17 &18)
Babel was made of man-made bricks – the dust of the earth. The curse upon Lucifer / Satan was that he would eat the dust of the earth as a serpent.
Genesis 3:14-19 “...You shall eat the dust all the days of your life...For dust you are (man) and to dust you shall return.”
Again we see the association of Babylon with the world in the word, ‘dust.’
●Egypt: It was destroyed because they refused to “Let My people go.” (The Jews) And when they finally did, they pursued them, wanting to bring them back to Egypt.
Egypt is a type of the world, and here the story speaks of the world coming against God’s plan for Israel by preventing the modern Jewish homeland from full Jewish ownership and possession, and pursuing the Jews militarily, and by the acts of the Palestinians and their evil sponsor the UN.
Exodus 3:7 “The Lord said, ‘I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.’”
Exodus 7:4 “Pharaoh will not heed you (and let My people go), so I will lay My hand on Egypt and bring My armies and My people, the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.”
●Jericho was destroyed supernaturally by God, (Joshua 6) because they stood in the way of, and obstructed the children of Israel on their way into the Promised Land. The city was also full of evil and the occult as well.
The walls of Jericho were a testimony to its proud fortified strength and protection of the evil within. God had told the children of Israel to destroy these evil nations that stood in their way.
Joshua 6:17-18 “Now the city shall be doomed by the Lord to destruction, it and all who are in it. Only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all who are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers who were sent.”
●The world today:
Micah 5:15 “I will execute vengeance in anger and fury on the nations that have not heard (of God’s promises to Israel).”
Jeremiah 48:8 “The plunderer shall come against every city; no one shall escape...”
Isaiah 26:5 “He brings down those who dwell on high. The lofty city He lays low, to the ground, to the dust.”
The entire chapter of Isaiah 24 deals with the horrific destruction by God of the entire end-time world. It pulls no punches!
The list of horror:
So, let’s list the main causes and reasons for these huge supernatural judgements of God. You tell me if they bear any semblance to us today!
●Escalating wickedness, ●iniquity, sin, ●violence, ●homosexuality and perversions. ●Occult and demonic activity. ●Complacency, pride, and self-exaltation above the ways of God. ●Unholiness and unrighteousness.
●Standing against Israel. ●Obstructing the Jews. ●Coming against Jerusalem and supporting Israel’s enemies.
Note that the reasons for God’s supernatural judgement upon cities and the world fall into three main categories: (1) Sin. (2) Satanic. (3) Israel.
Does all of this above, paint a picture of today? You bet it does – exactly! These issues all brought supernatural judgement. Do you think that anything has changed? Note well that some of the verses I’ve used, above, declare that this is all an example for us today.
Has the world learnt anything from these horror judgements of God? Not a thing! The only thing you can do is change in yourself and be right with God.
It’s all due to go bang big time! Then, like the dove returning to the ark with an olive branch of peace, the true new godly world-order will be here in all its majestic glory – forever.
The world today has had judgement, signed, sealed, and passed on it for all the above reasons collectively. But the judgement is now stayed, even from a legal viewpoint, because the world still has time to repent and change its ways. We know prophetically, that this won’t happen, but God does things decently, in line with truth and in order.
Spirits over cities
Many cities of the world have distinct spirits over them. As we have seen in the examples above, it was an entire city that had the problem.
Today, cities like San Francisco, Cape Town and others have a new-age, homosexual spirit over them. Of course not every person is subject to those spirits, but there are distinguishable consistencies.
Many towns, cities and provinces in Africa and Asia have witchcraft spirits over them. Many others have a spirit of poverty over them. Many cities in Europe have a liberal godless spirit over them.
It’s actually the same for individuals. It’s called a transfer of spirits. Most of these cities need heavy deliverance, change, and large-scale spiritual warfare to set them free.
In most of these cities where these spirits cover the whole place, you see very little true spiritual activity and growth. Sometimes you see missionaries, in spiritual authority, breaking those spirits. That is when you do see spiritual growth as a result.
Proverbs 29:2 “When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan.”
Proverbs 28:28 “When the wicked arise, men hide themselves, but when they perish, the righteous increase.”
Today this situation is becoming much more apparent than before.
The price has been paid:
Yeshua died and paid the price for your sins. But it goes further. He died for the “sin of the world.” (John 1:29) What is the “sin of the world?” It is every aspect of the root of all sin, evil and unrighteousness. It includes the curse on nature and all mankind originating with Adam.
But, as an individual, you still need to receive the payment for your sins, before it becomes effective. Likewise, the world needs to receive the payment to become a world of nations under God.
Isaiah 35:8-10 “A highway shall be there, it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it...The ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”
Jeremiah 31:4 (ESV) “I will build you up and you shall be built, O virgin Israel! Again you shall adorn yourself with tambourines and you shall go out in the dance of the merrymakers.”
Psalm 96:9-13 “Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before Him all the earth. Let the heavens rejoice and the earth be glad, let the sea roar; let the fields be joyful, then all the trees of the woods will rejoice before the Lord, for He is coming to judge the earth in righteousness and with His truth.”
The word “eternity” (Strong’s H 5703) has both the dimensions of time and space associated with it: It means, everlasting, eternal, evermore, continuous existence. The concept does continue beyond the realms of time and space.
2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 “In flaming fire, our Lord will take vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power.”
Psalm 52:5 “God shall likewise destroy you forever.”
Psalm 92:7 “When the wicked spring up like the grass, and when all workers of iniquity flourish, it is that they may be destroyed forever.”
You and God own your life in a joint partnership of eternal glory.
When you walk along a dark path on a moonless night with a lamp in your hand, the light spreads all around you. But as you move on, the darkness reclaims the area you have just left. Darkness retreats in light but then advances in the absence of light.
We are the “light of the world.” (Matthew 5:14) The light will go out in a blinding flash at the rapture. Then the new light upon the Jews will shine upon the Gentiles and into this dark, dark world. (Isaiah 60:3)
The world’s honeymoon with the devil is just about over. Deep, deadly, eternal darkness is just on the horizon. Now, the world’s destruction and eternal marriage in hell lies just ahead.
John 3:19 “This is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather that light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.”
The winds of the world are hurricanes of evil, blowing to hell. We must have the wind in our face.
Pray for revelation of heaven and hell and of judgement to come. Pray for the fear of the Lord – the ultimate protection against all other fears!
As a believer, hold on tight to all that is secure. Don’t turn away with the world. It’s time to be strong and endure. It’s time let God work deeply in every atom of your being.
Galatians 4:9 “Now, after you have known God, or rather, are known by God, how is it that turn again to the weak and beggarly elements to which you desire again to be in bondage?”
Do not fear correction, or discipline at the hand of God.
►Discipline gives you value and importance. If you are not disciplined you feel that you are not worthy to be corrected. It devalues you. This is why the Bible says that parents, who won’t discipline their children physically, hate them.
True love warns of hell. True hatred never speaks or teaches on it.
Understanding of hell is vital to one's spiritual health and stability. Reward and punishment are both major doctrines of God.
Today’s world is sin-mad and rejects the law of God, judgement, and hell to come. The world thinks that their perception is truth! They have nasty surprise coming.
Grace leads to repentance, but hell must be integrated to show up grace.
Jeremiah 15:17 “I did not sit in the assembly of the mockers, nor did I rejoice; I sat alone because of your hand, for you have filled me with indignation.”
John 12:31 “Now is the judgement of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.”
Luke 12:49 “I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled.”
Galatians 1:4 “He gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age.”
Eternal destruction is a result of the eternal judgement of God. (Hebrews 6:2) There is no mercy once His grace has run its course!
The judgement to come upon you and me as individuals will be eternal. The judgement upon the world and its nations and cities will be eternal. The world is soon to be judged in the seven-year tribulation and at the Second Coming. It will never rise again.
The “smoke” of its judgement will rise forever.
Proverbs 11:11 “By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. “(Media!)
Malachi 3:18 “You shall again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between the one who serves God and the one who does not.”
When truth has been perverted, diluted, changed, and ignored for so long and so deeply, when it does appear, it will be seen as a huge, shocking and preposterous lie.
Eternal safety and glory:
Safety is stepping out every day in righteousness and holiness. Safety is on the far side of the cross. Being safe and secure is psychologically good. Safety creates assurance, confidence, stability, endurance, rest and peace.
The knowledge of Bible prophecy is like knowing the road map to a foreign destination. You can’t be safe without it. One third of the Bible deals with prophecy. Within that the breakdown is five in one, for prophecy of all end-time events compared to the first coming of our Lord.
Isaiah 57:15 “Thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place with him who has a contrite and humble spirit.”
Deuteronomy 33:27-28 “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say, ‘Destroy!’ Then Israel shall dwell safely...The heavens also shall drop dew.”
Everything in creation is spinning, singing and dancing. In eternity, man is going to be conductor of this spectacular symphony. But man today, is singing his own tune to his own beat, out of harmony and sync. It’s a symphony of discord, of fools professing themselves to be wise!
Exodus 15:18 “The Lord shall reign forever and ever.”
Some strange and wonderful thing unites and ‘ignites’ people who have prophecy alive and shining in their hearts, like a star. (2 Peter 1:19)
Those that love Bible prophecy, see something terrifying in the hearts of those who don’t love it. All Christians should be involved in some way with ministries that have a prophetic aspect to them.
Those who reject or downplay Bible prophecy are blindfolded, walking a fraying tightrope, with thin ice beneath them!
I took the background picture in the Namib Desert and the King Protea in my garden.
Shalom and grow in His Grace!
