This website is distinctly Messianic, comprising the Abrahamic expression of faith, which is to the Jew and the Gentile. We affirm the fullness of truth contained in the Bible, embracing the cross and identifying with the convocations of the Lord. We reject the legalism of many in the Messianic movement. We reject the Babylonian Pagan traditions of the church. We consider all people Jews and Gentiles and those in all churches who are truly born of the Spirit of the living God to be one family. We proclaim a kingdom vision. We affirm and identify with God's plan and call to the Jewish people in these days and will support and stand with them as future brothers and sisters. Our slant is pre-trib! The Prophetic Scroll's aim is to glorify the living God.
I was saved in 1976 and became extremely interested in Bible prophecy, being an ex war-correspondent and photographer. My calling and aim is to share the dramatic, all-important issues of prophecy relating to our day. Please study these things further yourself. Please search the scriptures to “see if these be true.” The Prophetic Scroll stands as a watchman in these exciting and dangerous days.

Shabbat (Sabbath) begins on Fridays at 6pm and ends on Saturdays at 6pm. The purpose is to help the church and Israel become reconciled in Messiah and to identify the rift, and the needed restoration. There is much in the church that needs to change before it can be fully reconciled with the Jew. Likewise, changes in Jewish thinking are also needed.
Edition 423: June 26th 2018
Interpretation: Truth or Error!
Bible interpretation depends on the condition of your heart. What you receive from the word of God by way of correct, Spirit-led interpretation becomes revelation to you. Without the Spirit-leading, it all remains second-hand dead letter. If you have received Bible prophecy well, one day you will look back and say, “Thank you Lord for lighting my path.”
2 Peter 1:19 “We have the prophetic word made more sure, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place...”
Please note in the verse above, that the prophetic word is a light that shines in the dark. If you do not know it, or reject it, or water it down, you are in the dark in a deeply dark and dangerous world.
This realm of interpretation of prophecy has many pitfalls, many varied opinions and much debate, but running through the centre, is the right way. You will feel it in your heart and bear witness to the truth, rightly divided and applied.
In this edition, I have things to say, and then an example of correct interpretation of a most dramatic portion of scripture, which will be great revelation for you, and a key to the entirety of prophecy.
Some interpretation principles:
Luke 8:18 “...Take heed how you hear.”
Job 34:29 “...When He hides His face who then can see Him, whether it is a nation or a man alone.”
The two verses above show that there are conditions to be met. Note that this can apply even to an entire nation. It is always pride that causes blindness.
You see what you believe, your actions follow! So believing right is a most important thing.
You don’t need to be an intellectual to interpret correctly. You need to be humble. This is why intellectuals are generally so far wrong on biblical issues. To humble their intellect, is what they can’t do, thus deafening their ears, and blinding their own eyes to God.
Hazy, foggy, allegorical doctrine is the sign of the liberal. Have you ever noticed that liberals are never humble people? They are always full of pride.
We must interpret prophecy literally. That is historically accurate. This literal approach does not rule out allegory, or symbols, types and figures of speech, if obvious, but the literal always comes first.
Most of the churches that reject the fullness of the Spirit, and the gifts, use the allegorical interpretation method and their own many and varied opinions. This is why there is so much confusion around the subject. “Our God is not a God of confusion.” (1 Corinthians 14:33)
Without the fullness of the Spirit, and the operation of the revelatory gifts, you are in danger of being puffed up in pride, as you come up with all sorts of fancy speculation and explanations.
In many ways, Bible prophecy is like the headlights of the car travelling through a dangerous wilderness in the dark. With no headlights, you will soon be vulture-food!
It is Satan’s desire to pervert prophecy and blind people to its miraculous life-changing power.
The literal approach to prophecy is of prime, major importance for Israel, Jerusalem and the Jews, as we will see further down.
The power of erroneous prophecy:
We are in a spiritual environment, and this environment is charged with many evil powers. We must know it, and recognise it to be victorious.
Behind the world system is a planned system, with its own illegitimate power, heading towards a planned goal, and it’s all hostile to God and His people.
Many verses speak of the power of the law of sin, from which we must be freed, by the power of the cross and resurrection.
“The whole world lies under the power of the evil one.” (1 John 5:19) The world has this satanic power contained in it. We know that demons also have power. So it is sin operating through self, the world and the demonic, which all contains evil power.
This power is manifest where the cross is absent. It may take so time for the power to flourish, and it may do so in various ways, but it will do so and it will all fall in the end, as it is overthrown by a far superior power!
Prophecy and prophetic interpretation that originates in the “spirit of error,” contains this negative power. It actually has the power to cause the shipwrecked faith of many, especially the weak in faith, the new in faith, and the gullible.
What to me is amazing is that some people never get tired of being wrong and wrong again. They’re spiritually blind to the spirit of error driving them.
A sure way to be led astray is to give yourself to teachers who have repeatedly been wrong, without repenting. They are a trap for you to fall into.
The satanic host know well whom they can mislead, and entrap and bring under their power. They also know whom they have no power over at all!
Because we are in a spiritual environment, with alive, active attacking spirits of error, we need desperately, to be led by the Spirit of truth. (John 16:13)
There is a great danger when the authority of interpretation is the interpreter who sits full of pride on the throne of his life. That illegitimate authority rubs off on many and leads them astray. It’s like a curse at work, causing great harm.
Pride, legalism, rebellion and sin all work together. Be warned that humility can also be full of sin, if it has no cross attached. Many come across in humility to deceive you. Pride-filled shepherds in humble disguises are a lot more dangerous than you can imagine.
Bible teachers, who do not repent of error, go further and further into deception. That is almost like a law! Run away from them or you are in danger of coming under that spirit.
People who have been saved a long time and are always learning, but never coming to the knowledge of the truth, are a nuisance. (2 Timothy 3:7)
These are the ones who are fundamentally gullible, with something deeply wrong in their hearts. They could be full of pride, under a curse, or simply without repentance from past errors and associations.
It’s always the same ones, just the ones who you would expect, who repeatedly fall into the mire. They never learn!
Error produces discouragement when it is revealed as such. Truth always comes out in the end. When it does, it shames error. Those who have clung to error and put it to bed in their hearts will end up wrecked with their followers.
Be humble before God when dealing with prophecy, or be humiliated. Many won’t change from wrong to right when they discover it – out of pure pride.
The throne of pride is a stolen throne, but tragically that same enthroned pride also sits on the throne of other people’s lives. They have let it in. There is a deadly transfer of spirits in these things. This is especially evident in sects and cults. It’s like a highly contagious disease.
Pride, whenever identified must become your uninvited nightmare-guest. Kick him out fast.
A tragic example of how pride disguised in humility caused over a thousand years of failure, and led to deep, dangerous errors like replacement theology is seen in the Catholic founders.
Augustine was a founders of what became replacement theology. He hated the Jews. He ruled that the Bible can only be interpreted in subjection to church orthodoxy! What arrogant horror! That toxic garbage is still playing out today, in the form of replacement theology.
It was in fact the Catholic church, led by powers of evil, that produced the dark ages, while everything about the true gospel is light!
Through its entire Spirit-less history, they have been hostile to the Jews and Israel.
The reformers brought significant light to the darkness, but they stopped short. Most rejected the fullness of the Spirit with the gifts. They produced a church divided. Today there are over 30,000 denominations. Their approach to prophecy is almost entirely allegorical, with a few exceptions.
Many Spirit-less denominational churches today are champions of replacement theology – haters of God’s unique plan for Israel, lovers of Palestinian rights above the God-given rights of the Jews.
It’s never my desire to interfere with individual churches. I love them all, and hope and pray for great revival, unity and blessing, but there are some you need to run away from fast. They will do you much harm. It is these Spirit-less, anti-Israel churches of replacement theology.
This issue is fast becoming one of the big issues of the day and it will become much bigger very soon!
Now let’s look into a few powerful Bible stories that have within them, major prophetic messages. These stories that follow, have been terribly misinterpreted by many, explained away, watered down, changed and messed up by so many minsters of no consequence.
Allegorical methods of interpretation have been used, producing confusion, replacement theology and other great errors.
This presentation below is the pure, correct, literal rendition, which is in fact, finding fulfilment now before the eyes of the world.
Jacob’s ladder, almonds, olives, bones and Israel:
In the following incredibly profound discourse, we see the entire course of the end-time Middle East situation in graphic detail. It originates with the twins, Esau and Jacob.
Esau became the father of the Arab people and by extension, the Palestinians, as well as the religion of Islam. Jacob had his name changed to Israel and is universally accepted as the father of Israel, and the Jews today.
Genesis 27:41 “So Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father Isaac blessed him, and Esau said in his heart, ‘the days of mourning for my father are at hand; then I will kill my brother Jacob.”
This verse above sets the stage for the eternal hatred of the Arabs for the Jews. Now, a few verses on and we see something amazing:
Genesis 28:12-17 “Jacob dreamed and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. And behold, the Lord stood above it and said: ‘I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. The land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants and your descendants shall be as numerous as the dust of the earth. You shall spread abroad to the west, the east, the north and the south and in you and in your seed, all the families of the earth will be blessed...Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, ‘surely the Lord is in this place and I did not know it. He was afraid and said, ‘how awesome is this place, this is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.’”
This all occurred in the town called “Bethel”. (Genesis 28:19) This word means “House of God.” But Bethel was previously called “Luz” which means “almond tree.” The Hebrew word for “almond” also means “watch or watchful.”
In Jeremiah 1:1-11, the Lord asked Jeremiah what he had seen in a vision. He said, ‘an almond branch.’ The Lord said: “You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it.”
The almond is closely associated with Israel in many verses. The Lord instructed that the Temple Menorah be decorated with gold almond blossoms. The menorah is a symbol of the tree of life, giving off the light of life. (Those are almond blossoms in the picture above.)
Bear in mind that the almond is the first tree to blossom after winter.
Aaron’s rod that budded was an almond branch. According to Numbers 17:2, the twelve sons of Israel had their names written on this rod. Aaron’s rod represents Israel, the authority and judgement of God, and the supernatural miracles of God.
Aaron’s rod budded although the branch had long been cut off from the tree. This speaks wonderfully of the Olive branch (Jews) being grafted back in to their tree (Romans 11:17) and also of dead, dry bones coming to life miraculously and being made new spiritually! (Ezekiel 37:12-14)
Aaron’s rod budding also speaks of resurrection from the dead, seeing as the dead branch budded. The rod also speaks of the authority of God over the nation Israel. But there is an imposter “rod”!
Psalm 125:3 “The sceptre of wickedness will not remain on the land allotted to the righteous.”
A “sceptre” is a rod of sorts representing authority and power. This “sceptre” is no doubt Islam. Its days are numbered!
Do you see what we have here? I hope you do, because it would change the course of world history if they knew it. This is prophecy, incredibly spelling out just what we see today!
Here are the main points:
●The Arab people, the Palestinians in particular, have an inbuilt ancient hatred for Israel. ●They are out to kill the Jews. ●Angels are messengers of God, and here we see the message coming from God to the Israelis and to the world, and back again. ●We see that God Himself has given the land of Israel to the Jews, exclusively. ●We see the worldwide dispersion (diaspora) here, and the regathering. ●We see the great culmination, with the Jews blessing the whole world with salvation! ●We see that Israel becomes “the awesome house of God.” ● We see that Israel is to be saved by going through the “gate of heaven.”
Perhaps the most important, far reaching few words of this dramatic prophecy are: “God was in this place and I knew it not.”
●To Israel: God is in this place, ready or not, and He has decided, He has given you the land, blessed you, and given you your amazing future about to dawn.
●To the unsaved world and especially political leaders: God is in this place – Israel, and in Israel’s destiny. Do NOT challenge or come against God in this entire situation. You will regret it!
●To the church: God is in this place – Israel, in what He is doing with and for them. Don’t you dare throw Israel out and say the curses are now for them, and the blessings for the church. The true church is already blessed and Israel will soon experience enormous blessing, as you, the church of replacement theology, are cut off. (Romans 11:21-22)
●To the Palestinians: God is in this place – Israel! You have set out in hatred to kill your brother, the Jews! – You will fail and fail again, until you are destroyed.
Israel itself is a major prophecy of God to the world. God is in it!
You may want to bear this astounding verse in mind: “We can do nothing against the truth, but only for the truth! (2 Corinthians 13:8)
The message of the flood:
The flood of Noah is a type of the end-time destruction of the world. The Ark came to rest on Mt. Ararat. This word “Ararat,” means “Holy Ground.” And “God is here” (in this place).
Everything of the world of that day was left in the destruction of God’s judgement, except Noah and family. What remains after judgement is “holy ground.” God is in the place where the ground is holy! That also speaks prophetically of the Millennium and beyond.
When we see and apply the power of the cross of judgement to our live, we are on holy ground and God is in this place! The world is now dead to us, as we are to it! (Galatians 6:14)
So, if you have been crucified with Him, and are taking up your cross, you are on holy ground! Do you know who else is on holy ground with you? Do you know that God is in this place? It is He.
The world was judged by water, it will soon be judged again by fire. We have been judged by the cross of Calvary and holy ground is the result! And that brings God into this place and us into His place forever – pure and holy.
When God is in this place, so is His voice. We had better hear it clearly. He has spoken.
The things that God has spoken prophetically in His word over Israel, Jerusalem and the Jews will come to pass exactly. It is true! God is in it!
You have two choices. You can align yourself with our great God, Lord and Saviour, or you can follow the world as it races for a fiery judgement. You can do nothing against the truth!
What an amazing thing!
If the dispersion and regathering of Israel were so succinctly prophesied, and they have happened exactly, the rest of prophecy will continue to be fulfilled in the same manner! Those who come against these plans of God have in fact, cursed themselves, like a withered dried up blade of grass.
Psalm 129:5-6 “Let all those who hate Zion be put to shame and turned back. Let them be as grass on the housetops, which withers before it grows up.”
The voice of the Lord is a powerful and fearful thing. The response to His voice is beautifully, poetically described in a number of the Psalms.
It is a voice of glory and thunder, powerful and full of majesty. It breaks and splinters forests. It divides the flames of fire and shakes the wilderness. It shakes the world and everything that can be shaken. It shakes the earth and the heavens.
The voice of the Lord causes the rivers to clap their hands, the trees to clap their hands, the sea to clap its hands. It causes the hills to be joyful.
The Lord is in His voice with all power and authority.
The Lord’s voice is to be heard.
I took the picture of the elephants in Etosha and the lichen on a rock.
Shalom and grow in His Grace!
