This website is distinctly Messianic, comprising the Abrahamic expression of faith, which is to the Jew and the Gentile with a Hebraic character. We affirm the fullness of absolute truth contained in the Bible, embracing the cross and identifying with the convocations of the Lord as seen in the Feasts, the Sabbath and Passover. We reject the legalism of many in the Messianic movement. We reject the Babylonian Pagan traditions of the church. We consider all people Jews and Gentiles and those in all churches who are truly born of the Spirit of the living God to be one family. We reject institutional organised denominationalism (division). We foresee a great falling away of much of the church in these days, while at the same time a great restoration of part of the church. We affirm and identify with God's plan and call to the Jewish people in these days and will support and stand with them as future brothers and sisters. We stand happily with pre / mid/ and post tribbers. Our slant is cautiously pre-trib, but hey, post tribber...you're still family! Today much error has been added to Christendom and much truth has been removed. The Prophetic Scroll's aim is to deal with these issues and assist you on your road to glory. I was saved in 1976 and became extremely interested in Bible prophecy, being an ex war-correspondent and photographer. My calling and aim is to share the dramatic and all-important issues of prophecy relating to our day. This is a calling to unfold and share the wisdom of God as contained in His word. There is also much teaching in these pages for your heart. It’s not all prophecy! Please study these things further yourself and understand that the format is non-exhaustive. Please search the scriptures to “see if these be true.” This is a "watchman" and Bible prophecy teaching website. |

●The recent US-led airstrike on Syria has led to a big zero again – so far. Israel was not involved in any way and no involvement came from Russia or Iran. Prophetically, it leaves us watching and waiting again. Of course, Russia may respond militarily at any time. We will watch. But for now it’s a waiting game again, and not the big event many are saying. It does however consolidate the players, identifying them. But they are still in the wings of the stage. There have been many threats and rhetoric from some nations, including Iran, but no action. Do bear in mind that this entire issue is volatile and can change in a flash...and probably will.
●As Israel warms up for its 70-year birthday celebrations, census numbers have been released. The population inside Israel now stands at 8.842 million. This is 43% of world Jewry. I wonder when it will hit the important biblical number of 888. Pretty soon I think!
●Funny thing this: The UN has just celebrated “International Day of Happiness.” Israel ranks highest in the “happiness” stakes – (BIN)
Shabbat (Sabbath) begins on Fridays at 6pm and ends on Saturdays at 6pm. The purpose is to help the church and Israel become reconciled in Messiah and to identify the rift, and the needed restoration. There is much in the church that needs to change before it can be fully reconciled with the Jew. Likewise, changes in Jewish thinking are also needed.

Shabbat Shalom to all:
The need for revelation (and news update)
Today marks a significant milestone for me personally. I won’t go into details, but I would like to thank Joanne Smith in New York, for standing with me in prayer and support.
Middle East update:
The stage has changed dramatically very quickly. All the puzzle-pieces are in place.
We await the prophecy “go” from the grand Director.
Assad’s Syria has welcomed in Iran to set up numerous military bases with Iranian personal. Syria has also invited Russia in to do the same, which they have done. Turkey also has a presence. Syria is no longer Syria from a military perspective.
Syria is now Syria, Russia, Iran and Turkey. That makes Syria and Iran a nuclear power, in that nuclear-Russia will act on their behalf if required. Of course, Russia will also act independently within Syria to achieve its own goals.
We know that the stated goal of Iran is to destroy Israel. Now Iran has proxy-nukes – Russia’s nukes!
At this stage, the entire situation in Syria is volatile, but is not significant prophetically, until Israel is brought into the picture.
We have seen a few minor skirmishes as far as Israel is concerned, but nothing major. Very soon Israel will be drawn in, with the US and some others as an ally, including Saudi Arabia (Sheba.)
Do you see that this is already not a local Syria issue anymore? Do you see that this is already gearing up for WW111, the destruction of Damascus, the Psalm 83 war and Gog / Magog?
The big issue here is that it is all so perfectly aligned with the descriptions of the great war of Gog and Magog in Ezekiel 38 / 39, Isaiah 17. All the players are on the stage!
Revelation knowledge:
The meaning of the word “revelation” is “unveiling.” The book of Revelation is correctly entitled – “The unveiling of Messiah.”
As John received the Revelation, he fell to the ground as dead. Jacob met the Lord in the form of an angel and was struck to the ground in a wrestle which left him with a permanent limp. Moses met the Lord and was struck to the ground, which left his face scorched. Paul met the Lord on the road and was struck to the ground and left blinded for three days.
Do you see the common factor? Those who had an open encounter with the revealed Lord were all struck to the ground and left forever affected in some way.
Today many claim to have met the Lord but they are unchanged and still full of all their garbage. They are liars, looking for self-assurance and self-affirmation.
Shockingly, the Bible calls itself “dead letter.” To most that’s all it is – a bunch of fairy tales and ancient words with as much relevance as a telephone directory. But to some, it is the very living, alive, relevant, speaking word of power and life.
Many spend their lives studying the Bible – wasting their time! They end up with a head full of dead-letter. There is something required that many miss. The word “knowledge” is “gnosis” and it means ordinary plain knowledge. The word “epi-gnosis” means revelation knowledge – from above. It is similar to the meaning of the “rhema.
This is what we need! We need the word to come to life. We need real revelation. It’s a lot more than a aha moment!
Real revelation knowledge is one of the gifts of the Spirit. It is absolutely necessary for today. You need it for leading and guiding and His light in this dark world. It is exclusively for those who meet God’s conditions.
Psalm 43:3 “Send out Your light and Your truth; let them lead me and bring me to Your holy hill.”
Note in the verse above that it is both “light” and “truth” together. This is the essence of revelation. It is this revelation that “engraves” truth on your heart and it becomes part of you.
Revelation produces clear sight and understanding. But more than that, it causes endurance. The day you see the resurrected Lord and understand at least something of His glory, is the day you will never forget Him or turn from Him.
It’s much the same with many aspects of life. For example the traditions and customs of man are generally (not always) rooted in paganism, witchcraft and the like. People won’t change or get rid of that until real revelation comes along. Then it’s easy to change.
Have you fallen on your face before our Lord in total surrender – literally? If not you have never fully surrendered and have many dark “rooms” in your life which are closed to Him.
† Shalom...Joel.
Edition 355: March 15th 2017
The Greatest Drama of All:
The Greatest Drama of All:
Introduction:
Acts 3:24 “All the prophets from Samuel, and those who follow, told of these days.”
The Greatest Drama of All was the title of a presentation I wrote and produced as an audio-visual show in 1980. It became the foundation for other things I wrote, and for The Prophetic Scroll.
This edition is a grand summary of the Greatest Drama of All – Gods plan of the ages from glory to glory, from victory to victory, encompassing all the attacks, destruction and judgments in between, culminating in a final, monumental time, never before seen on earth.
Being an artist, I know that you need to step back to have an objective look at your work as it progresses. Then you see the overall picture clearly. It really is advantageous to see and know the whole big-picture. That’s what this edition is about.
Part of the purpose of this edition is to annihilate the views of churches of replacement theology and to discredit and condemn all anti-Semites.
John 14:29 “Now I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass you may believe.”
John 16:1 “These things I have spoken to you, so that you should not be made to stumble.”
I began my original work with the phrase: “A drama to put 1000 Shakespeare’s to shame.”
We are now almost at the final act of the Greatest Drama of All time. Don’t walk out of the theatre now! This is where it all comes together and happens. The curtain is rising, the veil is lifting!
To begin with, I want to give you two groups of words strung together. The first line of words describes some of the aspects of the Greatest Drama of All, from God’s perspective. The second line of words is the tragic, other side!
Words relating to God: Glory, majesty, splendour, triumph, exaltation, magnificence, miraculous, immortal , grandeur, jubilation, celebration, wondrous, delight, joy, blessing, euphoria, peace.
Words relating to Satan: Distress, disquiet, affliction, anger, hostility, anxiety, anguish, suffering, torment, evil, wickedness, dejection, grief, misery, sorrow, hopelessness, regret.
For a time such as this:
These are some descriptions of this monumental time, compiled from the verses in this edition:
●It is a time the forefathers and prophets looked to.
●It is a time like never was, nor ever shall be.
●It is a time of great perils, great tribulation, great wars, death and destruction.
●It is a time of doom, trembling, fear, pangs of sorrow, bowing to be slaughtered.
●It is a time of the wrath of God, the wrath of the Lamb, the wrath of Satan, man and nature.
●It is a time of lawlessness, pride, sin and violence, as in the days of Noah and Lot.
●It is a time of rampant deception, delusion, doctrines of demons and false teachers.
●It is a time of betrayal, backsliding and departure from the faith.
●It is a time when truth is cast down, mocked, and scoffed at.
●It is a time when much of the church will be cut-off and spat out.
●It is a time of great conflict over Israel, the Jews, Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.
●It is a time when all nations will stumble over Jerusalem and be destroyed.
●It is a time that rivals the first Exodus.
●It is a time when multitudes will be in the valley of decision.
●It is a time likened to life from the dead.
Here are some of the verses describing the days of this Great Drama.
Most of these verses relate to the seven-year tribulation period itself. The true church will not be here then, having been raptured. But that’s all part of the Great Drama, isn’t it!!
Matthew 24:21 “Then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world, until this time, no, nor ever shall be.”
Daniel 12:1 “At that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone who is found written in the book.”
Jeremiah 30:5-6 “We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear and not of peace...Alas for that day is great, so that none is like it, and it is the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he (Israel) will be saved out of it...”
The great cause of all the drama:
Lucifer was cast out and fell due to his pride. Adam and Eve fell, also because of their pride, in that they rejected God’s word and chose their own, inspired by Satan. Israel’s many rebellions to God were all essentially underscored by the pride of going their own way.
The pride of man is today, the biggest problem the world is facing. It is no different to ancient times! It is the great cause of all sin, evil and wickedness!
Have a look at that amazing fact, revealed by God thousands of years ago in His word – O, so relevant for today, right down to the fine details:
Ezekiel 7:7, 10-11 “Doom has come to you, you who dwell in the land, the time has come, a day of trouble is near and not of rejoicing...Behold the day! Behold it has come! Doom has gone out; the rod has blossomed, pride has budded. Violence has risen up into wickedness.”
Isaiah 2:10 “Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, from the terror of the Lord and the glory of His majesty. The lofty looks of man will be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.”
Isaiah 13:6-13 “Wail for the day of the Lord is at hand! It will come as destruction from the Almighty...every man’s heart will melt, and they will be afraid. Pangs and sorrow will take hold of them; they will be in pain as a woman in childbirth. They will be amazed at one another; their faces will be like flames. Behold, the day of the Lord comes, cruel with both wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate; and He will destroy its sinners from it...I will punish the world for its evil; I will halt the arrogance of the proud...Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth will move out of its place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts and in the day of His fierce anger.”
Isaiah 65:11-12 “You are those who forsake the Lord, who forget My holy mountain (Israel)...therefore I will number you for the sword and you shall all bow down to the slaughter; because when I called, you did not answer, when I spoke you did not hear, but did evil before My eyes and chose that in which I do not delight.”
Do you see it? It’s not the sins of the world that will cause its destruction. It’s the sin of the world! The sin of the world is its pride, which causes all its sins. It’s the underlying cause revealed in these verses above, so succinctly! It is the pride of the heart of man – the great sin of Satan.
Note in these verses above that because mankind did not bow down to God and His ways, they will “bow down to slaughter.” Their proud arrogance will be consumed in wrath. They shall be made to bow down.
Their hearts will melt in pangs of sorrow, with faces enflamed. Many will repent in the tribulation period and be saved (differently from the true church), but many will not.
We as true believers have the beautiful privilege of bowing down to Him now in humility.
My friends, don’t blame God for the coming wrath. Blame yourself, then repent and escape it all!
The fall from grace:
God’s great, grand purpose and plan in all creation is a universe of splendour and magnificence, holy and pure.
He planned to create a people for Himself, alive to Him, with Him, for Him, part of Him, co-heirs of all things, living in pure, holy glory forever and ever.
Satan entered the scheme of things, attempting to side-track God’s plan.
Satan knew that God would provide His own Son as the eternal sacrifice for all sin. He knew that this suffering Messiah would defeat him ultimately and forever. His aim is to stop or delay the Messiah’s coming. (Genesis 3:15)
Satan knew that this Messiah would be born a Jew and come through the Jews. So, he tried to stop it all from happening.
He tried to kill the Jews. He tried to kill the young boys, knowing that Messiah would be born amongst them. He led the Jews into idolatry, knowing that God would disperse them as a result.
He tried to exterminate them through the mass murdering popes of the Inquisitions. He tried to kill them in the Holocaust. He tried to defeat them in numerous wars. He tried every way he could.
But the great backfire can be seen right here:
Jeremiah 16:14-15 “The days are coming says the Lord, ‘that it shall no more be said, The Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt, but, ‘the Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He has driven them, for I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers.’”
In this verse above we see the outline of the great, dramatic second Exodus, rivalling the first!
Today, its Satan’s last stand as he is about to try defeating the Jews through wars, conflicts and turning the world and much of the church against them.
Again Satan and all his co-workers will fail miserably.
The Greatest Drama in types:
Types, shadows, symbolism, and parables are part of the wonderful methods our Lord uses to reveal and demonstrate His will and plans. These are visual aids, so to speak. But they are just as full of drama as the reality.
Let’s have a brief look at just a few of them:
●The Exodus ●Dry bones ●Horticulture in an olive tree.
●The Exodus was a spectacular, drama filled event. We have the children of Israel, with a call, plan and purpose on their lives, imprisoned in Egypt (type of the world). Moses comes along and says “Let my people go.” Pharaoh agrees initially, but pursues the Jews to kill them. He and his army are killed in the Red Sea, as the Jews make it to the Promised Land, a type of salvation.
What drama!
●The story of Dry Bones (Ezekiel 37) is a glorious, wonderful picture of the Jews coming to full salvation. We see a valley full of dry bones representing the Jewish people. The bones start supernaturally flying together, sinews, muscles and flesh then appear and the completed body stands up alive and well. Then a new heart is placed in them.
Ezekiel 37:14 “I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live and I will place you in your land. Then you shall know that I the Lord have done it, says the Lord.”
What drama!
●The Olive tree miracle: (Romans 11) This amazing parable compares the work of God to an Olive tree. The Jews are the natural branches and the church is the wild-olive branches, grafted in. The warning is given to the wild olive branches (the church) not to become boastful, proud and arrogant against the natural branches (the Jews), who have been cut off because of their unbelief.
They (the church) are warned that they too will be cut off when God grafts the natural branches (the Jews) back in again. “Don’t be haughty, but fear, for God may not spare you.” (Romans 11:20)
This dramatic portion of scripture ends saying that God will graft the Jews back in again. This emphasises the fact that: “The calling of God is irrevocable.” (Romans 11:29)
Romans 11:15 “For if their (Israel) being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?”
What drama!
So here we have just a few wonderful types of the incredible work of God with the Jews. We see their rebellion, their return, their salvation and the grave danger much of the church faces right now as God’s work swings back to the Jews.
Many churches are not prepared to be co-workers with God for the salvation of the Jews. They have stolen the grace of God for themselves only. They are no better than the Catholics.
Do you think it’s just coincidence that these and many more stories in type or parable form are all unanimous and consistent in their major points and conclusion?
There are numerous other types of the ultimate victory of the Jews in salvation.
We see a very similar story in the attempt by Haman to kill the Jews, getting himself killed instead.
We see similar plots in the Feasts of the Lord.
The truth battle:
True love protects the truth. Hate lets the truth be compromised and eroded. It is hatred that lets error flourish.
Truth will always offend those who don’t love it.
There is only one way to effectively and experientially know the truth and that is to love it.
Truth is not so much a matter of being right or wrong and being able to put others down who are in error. It is far reaching with eternal consequences for you and everyone you come into contact with.
The truth relating to Israel, Jerusalem, the Jews and even the Temple Mount is monumental, with dramatic world-changing consequences. It is no small thing! It will set you free. The lack of it will imprison you!
I have leant a long time ago to fear the truth! In fact may I say; I love to fear it!
The Greatest Drama of All characterised and summarised:
At the end of the day, the unanimous, overall conclusion of the Greatest Drama of All is that you can’t destroy God’s work with the Jews and with the church.
Ultimately it’s all about God and the devil, but your response to either identifies you, like it or not. The wise will set their hearts to love our Lord and His word and will love what he loves!
This huge, great, monumental drama will encompass the great rapture of the church, and the lifting of the veil of spiritual blindness upon the Jews, as the dispensation changes and the worst time of judgements the world has ever seen, or ever shall see, unfolds in the tribulation.
This Great Drama includes the advent of the glorious Millennium - the 1000 years of peace, with longevity restored to the Jewish and Gentile tribulation saints.
We then see the final wrapping up of all dispensations, and of all time, as the earth and the universe heads into the mysterious, but wonderful eternity of eternities.
Everything we do as believers in response to our Lord’s prompting will earn eternal reward and places of authority in this new universe. At the same time the worst, most horrendous hell will be filled with all the world’s unbelievers.
It’s all approaching, looming, gathering like storm clouds. There is a fearful, menacing wind of evil in the air, near at hand, converging! Are you ready to meet your Lord and escape it all? Yes, of course it’s the great escape – thank the Lord!
This Great Escape is a very important key in the Greatest Drama of all time!
The great privilege of the diligent believer:
God always warns ahead of time. “He declares the end from the beginning." How amazing is that?” It is so you can see if the road you are on is right, from the start; from the middle and the end. So everyone is without excuse.
Isaiah 46:9-10 “I am God and there is no other; I am God and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure.”
The fact that He knew it all from ages past is a great comfort. The fact that God knew you long before the creation of the world should give you real comfort and purpose in life as well. (Jeremiah 1:5, Ephesians 1:4, Romans 8:29)
The modern one-world globalist, one-world religion, no values crowd would be able to see right now that they are on the wrong road, on the way to hell, - if they would study the Bible! Due to their ignorance and delusion, they will never see it!
What an immense privilege we have to see right to the end of the journey, and the end of all things, even now – what amazing security and comfort that brings!
This Great Drama is foreordained, forthcoming, unavoidable, inescapable, inevitable, predesigned, predestined and predetermined.
It is sealed, by messages in the stars, in the world, and in the Bible. It is close at hand, finally unfolding and brewing with dire apocalyptic consequences for those who reject the truth.
Dark, dismal, grim times are facing the world, while untold glory, majesty and eternal victory, are facing the saved.
There are great and terrible consequences for not knowing Bible prophecy! You are in grave danger of falling for Satan’s prophecy!
The curtain comes down on the final act:
The great purpose in this Great Drama is that you, as a willing participant, learn the lessons of it. We need to humbly melt before God’s purposes and plans and glorify God in His final triumph.
Unlike Shakespeare, this is not about knowing and seeing the plot. It is all about your heart before God and changing your entire life radically!
Satan’s grand endtime drama involves replacing the word of God with his, nullifying it, mocking and trivialising it. He uses his agents the mass-media, the world and deceived Christian frauds.
It’s good to bear in mind that when the light goes out the darkness comes in. Today many so-called Christians are prime agents of Satan to dim the light.
The Greatest Drama of all incorporates judgment. Judgement is frightening for the wicked. For the true believer, the only judgment we will face is the assessment of our works for reward.
One thing you will not stop is coming judgement, but you can be safely in heaven when the full force of God’s judgement, wrath and fury is poured out on earth.
Finally:
The greatest drama of all is in fact our redemption and the soon-coming completion of it, at the miracle rapture of the true church.
Do not trust the world. Don’t trust its word and ways. It is a deceiver, and liar. Let it reject you. It must. The world must think you are “crucified to it.” (Galatians 6:14).
To be “spat out” by the world is an honour and privilege. To be “spat out” (Revelation 3:16) by God is an eternal terror. To be hated by the world means you are God’s special and loved best friend forever!
Let the Lion of the tribe of Judah loose in your heart, not just a gentle, little Lamb. After the Lion has done His work in you, the wrath of God will be far from you.
The fear of God is wisdom. The fear of Satan is foolishness. If you have not chosen the fear of God, you are ignorant and full of spiritual foolishness and blindness. Repent now!
