|This ministry has a distinct kingdom, Messianic vision, identifying with God’s call and plan for the Jewish people and the church. My position is pre-trib! Personally: I was saved in 1976 while working as a war correspondent, journalist, photographer, artist and environmentalist. My calling is to share these great end-time dramas, to stand as a watchman and above all, to glorify my God.|

Shabbat (Sabbath) begins on Fridays at 6pm and ends on Saturdays at 6pm. The purpose is to help the church and Israel become reconciled in Messiah and to identify the rift, and the needed restoration. There is much in the church that needs to change before it can be fully reconciled with the Jew. Likewise, changes in Jewish thinking are also needed.

The deeper, exclusive life:
The deeper, exclusive life:
Philippians 4:18 “...I abound and am full...a sweet smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.”
Psalm 42:7 “Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls; all your waves billow over me.”
Exclusivity is not politically correct these days. That changes nothing! God Himself has called us into an exclusive walk, experiencing the deep glories and wonders of the kingdom of God as the horrors of the kingdom of this world intensify and unfold before us.
But be careful because exclusivity can easily cross the road into the fields of pride. That said – don’t throw the baby out with the water.
In fact it’s only from a position of separation and exclusivity that we become useful to our Lord in dealing with people, especially the unsaved.
People in their graves are exclusively separate. You don’t see them going to the shops, playing golf, having a party or going to the movies.
According to the Bible, we have died and our lives are hidden in Messiah (Colossians 3:3). In the Bible there are quite a few admonitions not to “look back” and not to go back once you have died to, and escaped the grip of the world. Our Lord says that “No one after putting his hand to the plough and goes back is worthy.
This is where our battle ground lies. As born-again believers, we have the Holy Spirit inside of us drawing us foreword, His way, but the unholy spirit of temptation and evil which lurks outside, always seeks to draw us into an entanglement with the world again.
In these evil days, we really need to be well-rooted in our Lord and His word. The consequences of shallowness are many and terrible. The principle is very simple and is wrapped up succinctly in the parable of the sower.
Seed sown on hard ground will be taken by the birds. Seed sown on soft ground, but that is hard underneath, will produce shallow roots and the plant will get destroyed in the storms. Only seed sown in good, soft ground, well watered and weeded will produce like it is supposed to.
In the parable, our Lord explains that the condition of the ground types is the condition of the heart types in man.
It is only a soft broken heart before our Lord and His word (the seed) that leads us to be truly safe and spiritually healthy. This is the way to have deep secure roots that will withstand the storms.
Our title verse above is one of my favourites. Is there a deep voice within the noise of the waterfall, calling you right into it so that you can be washed and flooded with the fire of God’s word?
The measure has not changed:
In Mark 14:2-4 we see the story of the woman breaking an alabaster box to release an expensive anointing ointment, and pouring it onto our Lord’s head. There are many lessons in this story, but simply, it is that you need to break the box to get the ointment out. Then the powerful fragrance spreads through the air.
This is the lesson of brokenness. It is only as we submit to His breaking that we become infused with the beautiful fragrance of His Spirit, which is spread all around us. But how do we know that we are on the right track?
The image below is a composite of ancient measuring instruments. Just as in the image, we need “measuring instruments” to see exactly, with precision, where we are going and what we are doing.
The measure of the Christian life and what is right and wrong, holy and true has not changed one little bit in the last 2000 years. The great shock awaiting many is that the standard of judgement has not changed either. God will judge all believers for reward and loss of reward based on the ancient scriptures. God will judge all the unsaved, not based on today’s values but on His ancient word.
What the measure is not:
People don’t mind you being kind and good and giving, but try being holy, righteous and radical and you’ll lose your friends. Do yourself a favour and say goodbye to them.
People want to be reassured, or they have a secret desire to know that they’re okay and not alone. So they measure themselves amongst themselves. They see their friends and neighbours in the light they use for themselves, which in many cases is pure darkness.
Matthew 6:23 “If your eye is bad your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness.”
2 Corinthians 10:12 “We dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves are not wise.”
Psalm 39:4 “Lord, cause me to know my end, and how to measure my days, that I may know how frail I am. Indeed, You have made my days as hand-breadths, and my age is nothing before You. Certainly every man at his best state is but vapour. Surely every man walks about like a shadow; surely they busy themselves in vain.”
Psalm 90:12 “Teach us to number (Lit=prepare) our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” In this verse, the original word translated “number” (Strong’s H 4487) is also translated in five other places as “prepare”.
In these verses above we see the futility of measuring ourselves according to the world? Do you see that these people, though successful are no more than a “vapour”? And finally do you see that when we prepare our lives and measure ourselves God’s way that we gain a “heart of wisdom”?
Biblical Christianity involves a huge amount of unlearning and detaching from the world and its ways before real learning even begins.
Intensifying end-time pressures:
Can you resist the devil? Can you resist the extremely powerful onslaught and force of the devil through the mass media? Can you? If you say yes, why then do you worship the devil in the seclusion of a dark cinema? Why do you take the Holy Spirit in you to watch and listen to tirades of foul language and blasphemy? You’re a sell-out!
Can you withstand the intensifying onslaught of the devil led by the mass-media against God’s word on Israel in these days? Before you say yes, I know ministers who have recently submitted themselves to the media, forsaking God’s word on Israel, Jerusalem and the Jews. The media is their new leader! Is the media your leader?
Think about how influenced you are by the mass-media and the ways and opinions of the world.
Proverbs 28:4 “Those who forsake the law (word) praise the wicked.”
The tragic thing is that these ministers are also now supporters of homosexual marriage.
Do you know what the common denominator is? It is that God’s word is clear on both. Don’t you know that everything God’s word is clear on, the devil takes the opposite view and blind, evil guides and their followers follow!
Job 38:15 “From the wicked their light is withheld...”
Here is an astounding verse of scripture on Israel, and there are hundreds like it:
Deuteronomy 4:40 “You shall keep His statutes and commandments that it may go well with you and with your children after you and that you may prolong your days in the land (Israel) which the Lord your God is giving you for all time.”
In this verse we have a time frame clearly evident for God’s choosing of Israel for His purposes. It is for all time. So what does the world say and do? – The exact opposite! What are more and more churches saying and doing? - The exact opposite!
There is more and more pressure mounting to divide the land of Israel and the city of Jerusalem.
And you reading this now, what are you going to do and which side are you going to support?
If your roots in our Lord and His word are strong and secure, you will stand with Israel, you will stand against the onslaught of evil on every front. And you won’t be thanked by the world and its church for it either.
Here’s the amazing thing and it is deeply spiritual. Try standing for God’s word where it is clear and you will be hated. Your friends will drop you quickly. Be different to the world and the world will hate you!
The reason is because you are an affront to their evil gods that they can’t even see or identify!
Please remember that the god of this world wants you to be just like them...just like the masses!
Resistance to the world and self-denial should be normal. You should aim at being perfect. If you are going the right way you will be hated by some and loved by others. You will be full of inner joy, peace and wonderful fruits of the Spirit.
As you go deeper into the secret place of God’s presence you will see the extreme shallowness of the world and its church. Self-indulgence at the shrine of the entertainment world will rob you of your joy.
Examining the evidence of growth:
Growth in grace has evidences. ●You will see yourself as undone. ●You will see wonderful spectacular things of the future. ●You will see the coming of the Lord and be ready for Him. ●You will see the world as already finished. ●You will see the fires of eternal hell!
Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and the hands do. What do you do when no one is aware? What do you tolerate and partake of? These things speak of your heart and what and who you are?
Many Christians are not seeking our Lord. They are seeking comfort and well-being. They are seeking self-glorification. They are seeking sin because they love it. They will go to hell because their church minister gave then false hope and led them astray.
What makes you angry? What horrifies you? It was David who said “Horror has taken hold of me because of the wicked who forsake Your word.” (Psalm 119:53) Does this describe you, or are you a stupid, blind follower of the world? Are you horrified at the world today?
Today Christians don’t mind anything of the evils and wickedness of the world around them. You may think that you’re okay because that’s the way of the world, everyone is like that. If that’s you, let me inform you that even your prayer is an abomination to God and you are a stench in His nostrils. You won’t last five minutes, especially when the pressure is on!
Many are not aware of the extreme danger they are in. They are also not aware of the reality of hell. Too many have completely misinterpreted God’s love thinking that God only has compassion for them and all their ways, and that they have nothing to fear.
A word from hell:
The only reliable word we have from hell itself is from the rich man suffering in hell. (Luke 61:23-28) This is the only person who has been allowed to speak from hell. Do you think he may have an important message?
His message is terrifying! After begging for mercy, he asks that his brothers may be warned lest they come to this place also. He is refused on both counts.
We must not be soft on sin. We must annihilate and destroy all our excuses for compromise and bring God’s light into all darkness of heart. Have you taken stock of your life and what it is?
God comes with pardon, forgiveness and mercy in one hand and a sword in the other! The story is – repent and live or refuse and perish. (That’s a quote from AW Tozer).
As compromising Christians, the tragedy is not only for themselves. They in effect render the salvation of the world impossible. Today many Christians are so inflicted and infected with the disease of sin and compromise that they are useless to God and the world sees right through them.
It is the ministers of the gospel today who are rocking the cradle of a sick and sleepy church. Many ministers have no effect on the world and no power to do anything at all about it. They themselves render the truth they deliver inactive, because of their shallow, half-baked stance.
Instead of the standards of the church being raised, they are being lowered as more and more ministers of the gospel sell their souls to the walk, talk and ways of the world...and hell rejoices!
On a personal note, I have no desire to prove myself right and others wrong, but please be aware that we are dealing here with the things of eternity. It is eternity that we will not escape and our eternal position in it.
Compromise with world, will take the pressure off. Satan will never bother a compromiser or someone who has quit and given up following our Lord. Satan will not bother someone who is spiritually powerless.
We need eyes to see the devil. We must see through the media- mists. Today pure and holy biblical spirituality is rare. It has been replaced with a shallow, superficial, material, humanistic, and counterfeit Christianity.
Today most ministers of the gospel shield their members from the devastation of the applied cross. Instead of teaching and leading their flock to the cross of Calvary and the application of their own cross, they give them another happy, self-motivational message that fits in neatly and nicely with the deluded masses.
1 Kings 3:9 “Solomon asks: Give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil...”
In His secret presence is light, sight, knowledge, understanding, wisdom and revelation. In His secret place is glorious change!
Kingdom keys and views of eternity:
The image below is a composite of ancient keys. Even way back then, keys were unique. As believers in our Lord we must know that there are certain biblical keys to various areas of our spiritual lives.
Matthew 16:19 “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
The keys are the fullness of the doctrine of Messiah and its application in our lives. Other keys lie in the gifts of the Spirit to deal with the supernatural. We need them all.
One of the most powerful but secret keys is seeing what you can’t see! If your eyes are set on the materialism and all the things of this world – that’s what you will see and get, but remember Paul equates it all to cow dung compared to the excellence of the knowledge of our Lord!
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 “Our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. The things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
Job 15:8 “Have you heard of the secret counsel of God? Do you limit your wisdom to your own understanding?”
Seeing the unseen is an important key. Hearing from God in the secret place is another extremely important key.
The following verses are wonderful, beautiful and powerful:
Psalm 140:13 “...The upright shall dwell in Your presence.”
1 Chronicles 16:27 “Honour and majesty are before Him; strength and gladness are in His place.”
Job 11:6 “He will show you the secrets of wisdom.”
Psalm 27:5 “In the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.”
The Jerusalem key:
Let’s have a brief look at another secret by powerful key that is little known or used today.
Revelation 3:7 “To the angel of the church of Philadelphia write, these things says He who is holy, He who is true, He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens.”
The “key of David” is identified in Isaiah 22:21-22. It is the key given to those who open their hearts to and for Jerusalem and the Jewish people! How great is that? It applies to those with a heart for God’s word on Israel, Jerusalem and the Jewish people in these days.
Try as you may, it is impossible to “shut the door” on God’s word for Israel. What you will be doing is shutting yourself out of God’s kingdom!
Exodus 33:13 “Now, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation (Israel) is Your people.”
This beautiful, far-reaching verse above shows the benefits of seeking and finding God’s grace and ways, but note the little tag on the end. It relates to Israel. Our grace and privilege is to help, and identify with them.
The other side of the story:
Daniel 12:10 “Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.”
Revelation 22:11 “He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy let him be holy still.”
Just as there is an exclusive place deep in the secret presence of our great God, so for the unsaved there is a place in the depths of Satan’s kingdom for them. Instead of light, love and a billion benefits, it is a prison with no keys, ruled by evil, darkness and hatred.
Isaiah 33:6 “Wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of your times and the strength of salvation; the fear of the Lord is His treasure,”
If we are moving into the deep things of God, we will be in a gloriously privileged position. Biblical exclusivity is not pride, although it can be if our attitude is wrong. True Biblical exclusivity simply means that you have entered into a place that is not accessible for everyone. It is like an exclusive club with a secret key.
The doorkeeper is none other than our Lord Himself. It is He who invites and welcomes in those who have paid the price.
It is really only from this extremely privileged place and position that we can draw others up into the same secret place. You can’t pick yourself up with your own shoe laces.
