|This website comprises the Abrahamic Expression of faith, which goes to the Jew and the Gentile, with a Messianic slant. I affirm the fullness of biblical truth, embracing the cross of Calvary. I reject Babylonian paganism in the church and the legalistic excesses of the Messianic Movement. This ministry has a distinct kingdom vision, identifying with God’s call and plan for the Jewish people. My position is pre-trib! Personally: I was saved in 1976 while working as a war correspondent, journalist, photographer, artist and environmentalist. My interest in Bible prophecy was instant. My calling came soon afterwards. It is to share this great drama, to stand watching and to glorify my God.|

●Iran is rising up with threats of war against allies – the US and Israel. Re-imposed sanctions on Iran have led to this. It could get out of hand quickly. Well worth keeping a beady eye on!
●Turkey warns the US over its sanctions on Iran!
Shabbat (Sabbath) begins on Fridays at 6pm and ends on Saturdays at 6pm. The purpose is to help the church and Israel become reconciled in Messiah and to identify the rift, and the needed restoration. There is much in the church that needs to change before it can be fully reconciled with the Jew. Likewise, changes in Jewish thinking are also needed.
Edition 187. December 23rd 2013
The great Christmas deception:
Before getting into this edition, and due to the date, I would like to briefly address the Christmas issue and the greatest, longest, satanic deception in history. If you have a problem with this short piece, just Google “The origins of Christmas” (and Easter for that matter).
Quite simply every single aspect of Christmas is rooted in Babylonian occult, devil worship. Constantine a worshipper of Babylonian gods, introduced it into the church. Later the Catholic church entrenched it into their practise. The reason was to make the church more palatable for the worldly masses and to keep the Jew, whom they hated, out of the church. The reformers all tried to reform the church towards the end of the dark ages, but they were all anti-Semitic Jew haters as well, so they left Christmas alone.
Christmas is highly elevated by the world. That alone should tell you plenty. But God has plenty to say about it in His word. Many Christians say that they don’t actually worship the satanic Babylonian gods; they just use the names and the practices!
Jeremiah 10:2 “Do not learn the way of the pagans.” (This goes on to condemn the cutting down of the fir tree and decorating it with gold and silver!)
Exodus 23:13 “Be circumspect and make no mention of the name of other gods, nor let it be heard from your mouth.”
Zephaniah 1:4 “...Against the inhabitants of Jerusalem, I will cut off every trace of Baal from this place, the names of the idolatrous priests, with the pagan priests.”
Deuteronomy 12:2-3 “You shall utterly destroy all the places where the nations that you shall dispossess served their gods, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree, and you shall destroy their alters, break their sacred pillars, burn their wooden images with fire; you shall cut down the carved images of their gods and destroy their names from that place.”
Isaiah 43:12 “There was no foreign god among you; therefore you are My witnesses says the Lord.”
The word “judgement” can be a very fearful and hated thing, or it can be something to be embraced and welcomed.
In light of the previous edition, in which I spent some time analysing the ‘salvation by works’ issue, we need to have a look at this liberating and very serious subject that will affect every human being on this earth.
No human will escape judgment. Its effects and consequences will be eternal. Amazingly, very few Christians bother to find out anything about this the most serious and gravity-filled subject in the universe.
For your benefit what I want to look at in this edition is judgement relating to salvation, loss of salvation, reward, loss of reward, and backsliding.
In this edition I’ve provided you with a lot of verses, letting them speak for themselves. You can use them as reference.
Salvation and loss of salvation:
The issue of salvation is very clearly spelt out in the Bible. It matters nothing at all if your church teaches anything apart from the following verses. (As many do!) Salvation according to the Catholic church is a lie from the pits. Salvation according to most denominational churches and especially all those holding to the doctrines of Calvinism, is wrong.
Salvation for the mentally impaired, young children and unborn children murdered by their mothers, is another issue altogether. They will be saved. The Bible says that little is required from those to whom little is given. According to Romans 1:18-21 speaks of the fact that those who have not heard the gospel were able to respond to God even by recognising His attributes in nature. “They are without excuse.”
These verses below are of monumental importance. Please read them without any church glasses on.
By putting together key words from the verses below we conclude: Eternal salvation is exclusive through wilful, deliberate belief in Yeshua the Messiah and being born-again in and through faith in the cross, which is not of works, and results in a supernatural new creation. The new birth comes at a point in time (like a natural birth) by choice.
It is of eternal importance to understand this clearly, because this is the BIG item that all will be judged on.
John 3:3 “Unless one is born again he will not even see the kingdom of heaven.”
John 3:36 “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and He who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
John 10:27-28 “My sheep hear My voice and I know them and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.”
John 14:6 “Yeshua said to him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father except through Me.”
Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast.”
Acts 4:12 “There is no salvation in any other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved.”
1 Corinthians 1:18 “The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 “If anyone is in Messiah he is a new creation; old things have passed away and behold all things have become new.”
Mark 16:16 “He who believes and is baptised will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned.”
Matthew 7:13 “Enter by the narrow gate for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.”
Romans 3:28 “We conclude that man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.”
Loss of salvation:
This has become a controversial subject, but it is plain, simple and easy to see and understand from the truth of the scriptures alone. Many have come up with all sorts of presumptions based on linguistic gymnastics that ignore the plain text of these verses.
The following verses are filled with severity. Please don’t take them lightly.
By putting together key words from the following verses we can conclude: If you reject and expel the finished work of the cross which was in you by the new birth, you can’t crucify the Lord twice and get your salvation back again. If you deny, expel and reject the Holy Spirit in you, you are eternally lost.
Hebrews 6:4-6 “It is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to open shame.”
2 Timothy 2:11-12 “If we died with Him, we shall also live with Him. If we endure, we shall also reign with Him; if we deny Him, He also will deny us.”
Mark 3:29 “But he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation.”
Revelation 2:5 “Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place – unless you repent.”
1 Timothy 4:1 “Now the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.”
John 6:66 “From that time on many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.”
Matthew 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavour, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled under the foot of men.”
1 Corinthians 16-17 “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone destroys this temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.” (This verse applies to suicide.)
Ephesians 1:13 and numerous other verses teach that our salvation is sealed and secure in all normal circumstances. We must also be aware of the unusual circumstances contained in the verses above! We do not drift in and out of salvation based on sin. But there is a limit, which if crossed is the end of the road.
Rewards and loss of rewards:
The believers’ rewards:
True believers will never be judged for their salvation. They are saved! True believers only, will stand before the Lord at the “Judgment Seat of Messiah”, to be rewarded for works done by the inspiration and leading of the Spirit, after salvation.
It is important to note that Christians will not be rewarded for a “glass of cold water given”, but for a “glass of cold water given in His name”. There is a big difference. In other words rewards are not for general good, but for that which is done in His name and as a response to His leading.
2 Corinthians 5:10-11 “We must all appear before the judgement seat of Messiah that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are well- known to God.”
1 Corinthians 3:12-15 “Now if anyone builds on this foundation, (salvation in Messiah) with gold, silver, precious stones, wood hay and straw, each one’s work will become manifest; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work of what sort it is. If anyone’s work endures he will receive a reward. I f anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.”
Revelation 19:8 “And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the clean linen is the righteous acts of the saints.”
2 Timothy 4:8 “Finally there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous Judge will give to me on that Day, and not only to me, but all who have loved His appearing.”
The Bible refers to crowns of reward given for various works done. These may or may not be literal physical crowns, but the result is the same. They will set-apart and distinguish one from another. The effects and results will be eternal.
Here is a list of them:
●The CROWN incorruptible. (Hebrews 12:1).
●The CROWN of rejoicing. (1 Thessalonians 2:19-20).
●The CROWN of Righteousness. (2 Timothy 4:8).
●The CROWN of life. (James 1:12).
●The CROWN of glory. (1Peter 5:2-5).
The Bible also reveals what sort of things the believer will be rewarded for.
Here are a few of them:
●How we treated other believers. (Hebrews 6:10).
●How we exercise our authority. (James 3:1).
●How we use our money. (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).
●How we spend our time. (Psalm 90:12, Ephesians 5:16).
●Our suffering for our Lord. (Romans 8:18, Matthew 5:11-12).
●How we deal with nature and the environment. (1 Corinthians 9:25-27, 2 Timothy 2:15, 1 Corinthians 16:3).
●Our witness for our Messiah. (Proverbs 11:30, Daniel 12:3).
●How we respond to temptation. (James 1:2-3).
●Our faithfulness to the word. (Acts 20:26-28, 2 Timothy 4:1-2)
Loss of reward:
1 Corinthians 3:12-15 “Now if anyone builds on this foundation, (salvation in Messiah) with gold, silver, precious stones, wood hay and straw, each one’s work will become manifest; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work of what sort it is. If anyone’s work endures he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.”
The verse above relates to all of us who are true believers. We all do dumb things sometimes and have all sinned. We all earn gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, and straw. The analogy is that when fire hits that big pile the gold, silver and precious stones remain and the wood, hay and straw leave only a puff of smoke.
What a wonderful promise. All our sins and rubbish will be forever gone and all the good stuff will have eternal consequences!
The guy on the cross next to our Lord made it, but he would have been one of those who made it by the skin of his teeth and all his life’s good and bad would be unrewarded.
Please note in the verse that we will “suffer loss” but be saved. I know we should be motivated by love and not for reward, but how good it is to see the extent of our Lord’s love.
Judgement to hell for the unbeliever:
Understand that this judgement is for all those who remain unsaved, who did not respond to the salvation message of the cross.
Revelation 20:11-15 “Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and heaven fled away, and I saw the dead, small and great standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books....They were judged according to their works...Anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Matthew 11:24 “It will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgement than for you (Impenitent cities).
Matthew 25: 46 “These will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
Romans 1:18 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.”
By putting together key words from the verses above we conclude: Judgement to eternal hell for the unbeliever is based on works done. These people are not in the Book of Life and unsaved, so they have no imputed righteousness to stand before God.
What will the unbeliever be judged for?
The unbeliever stands before God based on his works without his sins forgiven. They will be judged for rejecting the opportunities that were presented to them to be saved. They will be judged for stealing their lives from God for themselves.
The unbeliever will be judged for his works. He will be judged because he missed the passing grade which is 100%. In other words if the unbeliever has ever committed one single sin even in thought, he fails. This contrasts with the saved rather dramatically! We who are saved receive the free gift of the 100% passing grade of Messiah and then are rewarded on top of that for our good works.
So, all the great works of all the great and small will amount to failure. Their judgement will be hell eternal.
Deuteronomy 30:19 “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore chose life, that both you and your descendants may live.”
Isaiah 66:4 “So will I choose their delusions, and bring their fears upon them; because when I called, no one answered, when I spoke they did not hear; but only did evil before My eyes, and chose that in which I do not delight.”
Jeremiah 8:5-6 “Why then has this people slidden back and why is Jerusalem in perpetual backsliding? They hold fast to deceit, they refuse to return...No man repented of his wickedness.”
Hosea 14:4 “I will heal their backsliding (Israel), I will love them freely...”
There are numerous verses and parables relating to God’s love for the backslider. The prodigal son is a case in point. The verses above relate to the coming mass salvation of the Jewish people as they slide back into God’s favour.
Yes, God loves the backslider, but be aware that backslidesr are generally the most miserable people on earth. Their dangerous journey has a fateful end which is the rejection of and loss of salvation, if they do not turn and repent.
Luke 9:62 “No one having put his hand to the plough and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”
Today a lot more than half the church is backslidden in heart. They are filled with their own ways!
In the coming days the pressures are going to intensify. Many backsliders will return with joy and many will go the way of horror. Your foundation must be secure.
What you must do:
●Do what these verses say. Make sure you know these verses and understand the gravity associated with them.
●Reject the error and false doctrines around these issues taught by the Calvinists, the Catholics and others.
●Measure yourselves against these verses and not each other or the opinions of man.
In this edition I have presented the simple truths of the Bible on these foundational issues. There is nothing complicated here at all. As important as the foundation is of a building, so these issues are most important and you must understand and get them right.
Today we live in a world of grey ambiguity, with everything being relative and with no absolutes. The divided church has presented a divided, messed up view on many of these basics.
I want you to understand that with God there is no ambiguity nor variable opinions on these big major issues. That is the purpose of this simple edition.
Ezekiel 37:21-22 “Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations wherever they have gone and gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; and I will make them one nation in the land and on the mountains of Israel and one king shall be king over them all, they shall no longer be two nations.”
Zephaniah 3:9-10 “For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language that they may all call on the name of the Lord, to serve Him with one accord. From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia , My worshippers, the daughters of My dispersed ones, shall bring My offering.”
Zechariah 8:23 “For thus says the Lord of hosts: “In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, “Let us go with you for we have heard that God is with you.”
I took this picture lying down looking up into the sun. It speaks to me of purity and holiness – just the sort of cleanliness that comes our way as we judge ourselves now.
Isaiah 32:16-17 “Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness will remain in the fruitful field. The work of righteousness will be peace and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.”
Shalom and grow in grace!
