|This website comprises the Abrahamic Expression of faith, which goes to the Jew and the Gentile, with a Messianic slant. I affirm the fullness of biblical truth, embracing the cross of Calvary. I reject Babylonian paganism in the church and the legalistic excesses of the Messianic Movement. This ministry has a distinct kingdom vision, identifying with God’s call and plan for the Jewish people. My position is pre-trib! Personally: I was saved in 1976 while working as a war correspondent, journalist, photographer, artist and environmentalist. My interest in Bible prophecy was instant. My calling came soon afterwards. It is to share this great drama, to stand watching and to glorify my God.|

●Iran is rising up with threats of war against allies – the US and Israel. Re-imposed sanctions on Iran have led to this. It could get out of hand quickly. Well worth keeping a beady eye on!
●Turkey warns the US over its sanctions on Iran!
Shabbat (Sabbath) begins on Fridays at 6pm and ends on Saturdays at 6pm. The purpose is to help the church and Israel become reconciled in Messiah and to identify the rift, and the needed restoration. There is much in the church that needs to change before it can be fully reconciled with the Jew. Likewise, changes in Jewish thinking are also needed.

Series: Overcoming the world the flesh & the demonic
Overcoming the flesh (2 of 3)
News events and comment.
●Conflict between Iran and Israel is now inevitable and may occur very soon. For a welcome change the US, at this stage anyway, looks set to be a full participant with Israel. Syria is united with Iran and many other Arab nations in their enmity for Israel. Russia and China are fully allied with Syria and Iran. Please see Edition 99 tilted "Syria and Iran in prophecy" for a lot more on the subject.
●Conflict of any description involving Iran will send the oil price soaring. Saudi Arabia has offered to make up Iranian shortfall, but this will have a temporary result and cap the oil price. Sentiment and fear will move it higher. In fact Saudi Arabian oil exports have just fallen by nearly 500,000 barrels per day, without any active war.
The issue is that a rising oil price will damage world economic growth, which is fragile. Big moves in the oil price have a direct inverse relationship to world GDP.
●Iran has just released a news item saying "We are preparing for a worst-case scenario in defence of our nuclear program." "We may launch a pre-emptive strike." says Iran.
●One of Iran's nuclear scientists who was recently assassinated said to his wife that his greatest dream was to annihilate Israel (Israel Today)
●Israel to launch new strikes into Gaza in response to new threats coming from within.
●"Christians who hate Jews" is the title of a story about Anglican church vicars who deny the Holocaust, warn of a world Zionist conspiracy to control the world. Israel is an "illegal regime" they say amongst many other such things. What I find amazing is that the head of the Anglican church, the queen of England, nor the lesser head, the practising druid, Rowan Williams deny this. Here is the story:
●Chief Rabbi Goldstein writing in the Jerusalem Post on Iran's threats says: It's an eerie nightmare that has returned to the world. It is unprecedented and incomprehensible that one nation should face the threat of genocide twice within living memory." He was commenting on Iran's comments that "Israel is a cancer and should be cut off."
●Well now, I've placed the above two stories next to each for the obvious reason!! Knowing what you know now, would you support Hitler? Okay, let me ask you this: "Will you be one of the church members who supports the second Holocaust? Will you be a member of the great mass of Christians who believe in and support replacement theology?
●Will you be one of the Lord's own who stands with Israel and the Jews in the coming onslaught? Let me tell you that the numbers will be small in comparison to the numbers of Christians who will walk with the devil against the Jews!
Overcoming the flesh
This is the second in a three-part series
►It's important to know exactly how to defeat the enemy and walk free from his devices. Prophetically, the attacks of the enemy will (and are already) intensifying. Satan gets to the believer through the world, the flesh and the demonic. The attacks in all three of these areas are increasing.
Revelation 12:12 ..."Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that his time is short."
Watchman Nee: The salvation of the soul. / A living sacrifice. / Not I but Christ. A.W. Tozer: The Root of the Righteous. / Gems from Tozer. Charles Finney: Principles of victory. / Principles of Sanctification.
These spiritual giants of old experienced God in a way foreign to modern believers. They had little to say on end-time issues, but they were like pillars in the temple!
This edition deals primarily with sanctification. As believers we should all be fully aware of justification, sanctification and glorification as they relate to very different issues.
The New International Version:
If you are using the New International Version (NIV) you may as well leave this website now. The NIV removes the word "flesh" from the New Testament in many places. It does this to actively attack the flesh-theology, so that sin can flourish.
Here are some shocking insights into this terrible Bible:
The link above only deals with some of the errors and omissions. There are actually 64,576 words omitted. Entire verses have been omitted and many changed.
If interested you can do your own search for these: ●The NIV Blasphemy. ●The NIV, what today's Christians need to know. ●The NIV, the homosexual's Bible. ●NIV-The New International Perversion. ●The NIV translation treason.
There is now a newer version which is much worse...makes me furiously angry!
The nature of the flesh
This message is radical and extreme, and could set you on fire (for or against our Lord), so be warned!
Let's identify the flesh.
Romans 7:18 "For I know that in me (that is in my flesh) dwells no good thing..."
1 Thessalonians 5:23 "Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."
The flesh-nature is synonymous with soul-life. It is the original Greek word psuche. This is where we get the word psych from and psychology, which refers to our inner being and thoughts etc.
It refers to the self-life dominated by wilfulness, pride, ego, self-indulgence, self-importance, self orientation and the like.
It refers to an area deep within our souls that is open to satanic infiltration.
The Bible separates the self-life from the spirit of man. Through the new birth, we are recreated and made new in our spirits. This is where the Holy Spirit dwells. Satan cannot dwell where God dwells. Satan operates in the believers life through the flesh or soul or self-life and not in our spirits.
The flesh (self-life) has a very close association with the world and the demonic as well. For example: Self indulgence is normally seen as an activity of worldliness. This is why all three areas, the world, the flesh and the demonic need to be addressed, hence this three part series.
Satan's ultimate aim is to get to our spirits and this is why we need to be equipped to deal with all of his devices and methods.
►Our spirit is saved by our Lord who laid down His life for us. Our soul is saved as we lay down our will for His!
The shocking reality is that most people live for self. They live to indulge self. They are part of the "me now" generation!
The tragedy is that most Christians also live for self. The reason is that they are blind to the attacks and work of Satan in and through self.
Everyone is born a rebel to God, we just don't know it until the light of God shines into our inner being.
2 Timothy 3:1-3 "But know this that in the last days perilous times will come; for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boaster. proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers without self control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness, but denying its power. And from such people turn away."
The great majority of people live for themselves. You may ask, "what's wrong with that, who else must they live for?"
You've been created by God for a purpose. He has a purpose and a plan for your life. You see, most people are thieves of their lives. They've stolen what God created for His purpose, for themselves. Its such a joy to come into God's plan for your life. Its like a giant jigsaw puzzle falling into place!
1 John 2:16 "For all that is in the world - the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life - is not of the Father but is of the world."
The "pride of life" is one of our biggest problems. "Me, myself, I" is the slogan of the flesh. Derek Price often used to talk about the need for the destruction of "pride of face, pride of place, pride or race and pride of grace"
The "pride of life" can't praise or please God in any way! Pride is a very dangerous thing for the believer!
James 4:6 "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."
If God is resisting you, you are totally doomed. Think about that Hollywood in all your pride. On the other hand, how amazing to have God give us His grace?!!
Proverbs 29:23 "A man's pride will bring him low, but the humble in spirit will retain honour."
The only way to victory.
As believers we must have, or have had, a civil war in our hearts.
Galatians 5:17 "For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another..."
Jeremiah 17:9-10 The heart is deceitfully above all things and desperately wicked; who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings."
The way to peace is not to give up and capitulate to the war inside, but to defeat the enemy! We must deal with the identity crisis in our hearts.
Romans 7 shows this deadly conflict between the flesh and spirit right within our hearts. It must be so! Most churches today will never even identify the crisis for you!
Again, the cross is the answer. The shed blood of the Lamb deals with our sins, but the cross deals with the sinner's heart. The cross deals with what we are. We don't shed our blood, but we do take up our cross.
In reality there are two crosses that we need to receive. The cross of our Messiah paid the full price and gives us our salvation and power to take up our own cross. It's our cross that defeats the devil as he attacks us in many areas daily.
Matthew 16: 24-27 "...If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it."
You can capitulate and give up, but that will be far worse than fighting through to peace. The way to victory is actually very easy, yet most difficult. It is the way of surrender. Not surrender to the flesh, but surrender to the deadly work of the cross. After the cross has done its work in us, resurrection follows. This is the greatest victory in the universe. The resurrection I'm talking about is not a future event (that is very true) but walking in resurrection, newness of life now, free from the dictates of the flesh, the world and the demonic.
Paul puts it this way: "Not I but Christ." The end of self is the beginning of a holy glorious life of peace and victory.
John 3:30 "He must increase, but I must decrease."
Taking up of your own cross is synonymous with dying to self. It's the most rewarding thing if it's a giving of self to and for our Lord. This is where the wonderful exchange takes place: "Not I but Christ" is the most spectacular thing that could ever be!!
Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live but, Christ lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me."
Galatians 5:24 "Those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires."
The reason why so many hate the message of the cross is because they love evil. They want both God and sin!
To deny self is the way to victory. This does not mean becoming a pauper or some sort of weirdo. It means that we are not to set our hearts after these things. We are not to seek the satisfaction and comfort of these things. Ask yourself this: "Does my soul extract full satisfaction and comfort in the lusts of the flesh and world?
Luke 12:15 "Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of things he possesses.
Don't think that following your own will leads to peace and joy. No it doesn't it leads to hell. Only once free-will has been surrendered and exchanged and merged into God's will can you find real joy.
"Me, myself, I" is our resident boss. He's good for nothing but death on a cross.
1 Corinthians 2:14 "The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, because they are spiritually discerned.
Regular fasting is a powerful way to defeat the enemy. Fasting as a dedication to our Lord is another form of cross-bearing and denying self. It has many wonderful advantages. In fact if you are a believer and you don't fast at least sometimes, you're missing God as revealed in His word.
Here is a list of verses relating to fasting: (hover mouse over them)
Luke 2:37. Acts 13:2-3. Acts 10:30. Matthew 6:16. 1Corinthians 7:5. Joel 2:15. Daniel 9:3. Isaiah 58:6. Psalm 69:10. Nehemiah 1:4. Deuteronomy 9:18.
By the way the NIV removes many of the key verses on fasting, with the other verses being changed to "hunger"
Romans 12:2 "And do not be conformed (fashioned) to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
Each of us has a conscience in our heart. It's that little still small voice deep down inside. Your conscience acts as a guide. It condemns us or releases and assures us.
Your conscience can become more and more acutely tuned into the voice of God or it can become seared, and fully tuned into the voice of Satan.
The secret key to the Christian life is that you can't live it. You need to die to self. Then it is Christ who lives and reigns in your life. Then obedience comes from within and not a legalistic set of rules or demands. If you obey because of a set of rules your life will be dry.
The way to a clear conscience before God is to yield up our will to Him.
There is an enormous amount of rubbish that we have to deal with on a daily basis. Many things may seem harmless, but little bit by little they kill our soul. If we surrender to all the worldly influence around us, our conscience will become one with the world over time.
The salvation of our souls is an ongoing process and needs to be worked at actively.
1 Peter 1:9 "Receiving the end of your faith, the salvation of your souls."
The chain of thought
Modern psychology teaches that you can't do much about your thoughts. "You must give expression to them," they say. Well, that's a complete contradiction of the truth!
The truth is that you can and must control your thoughts. You most certainly can with the help of the Spirit of God in your heart.
Here's what the Bible says:
2 Corinthians 10:5 "Casting down arguments (Lit=imaginations) and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."
Philippians 4:7-9 " The peace of God will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus ("guard" is a military term.) Finally brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there anything praiseworthy- meditate (think) on these things...and the God of peace will be with you."
Note the words in bold: "Casting down imaginations" "Bring thoughts into captivity". "Think on these things."
So, yes you can control your thoughts. This leads to what comes out of your mouth! Controlling your thought process and exchanging wrong thoughts for thoughts of good, is the way to a mature life.
This is vitally important for victorious living...and it is quite possible. Don't listen to the modern shrinks who themselves need more help than their clients.
Make your thoughts a clean sanctuary. Reject the thoughts implanted in you by the world's media! Satan is the god of this world and he is the thought and mouth of the world system, which is especially evident in the worlds media.
Do not take these things lightly. Do not let your thoughts run with the thoughts of the majority. You know, let me tell you from experience that it's not that difficult, with our Lords help, to change your thinking patterns completely. As you do so, you yourself change. You become a strange oddball to the world, but filled with deep inner peace!!
We must learn to become prisoners and slaves and that begins in our thinking! Hang on a minute, "I don't like that" you say. Okay let me explain:
Becoming a prisoner of our Lord means we become trapped to a degree in glory, majesty, wonder, beauty and the like, with the things of world, the flesh and the devil locked out!
If you're not a bond-slave of our Lord and his word you are a servant of the world the flesh and the demonic!
Note that the following verses are all 1:1. In other words the ministry contained in the following chapters all begins with servant-hood!
Romans 1:1 "Paul a servant (Lit=bond-slave) of Christ..."
2 Peter1:1 "Simon Peter a servant (Lit = bond-slave) and apostle of Jesus Christ..."
James 1:1 "James a servant (Lit=bond-slave) of the Lord Jesus Christ..."
Philippians 1:1 "Paul and Timothy, servants of Jesus Christ..."
Titus 1:1 "Paul a servant of Jesus Christ..."
Philemon 1:1 "Paul a prisoner of Jesus Christ..."
Do you want serve our Lord? Good, now you know the conditions.
An incredible testimony:
Madame Jeanne-Marie Bouvier de la Motte- Guyon was a wealthy French noblewoman of the 17th century. She spent much of her life rejecting the riches and the lifestyle of the French elite, of whom she was one.
She set her heart after our Lord. She grew in grace and wrote a number of books. She despised the Catholic traditions of works rather than grace for salvation, although she remained a part of the church.
She was a particularly beautiful woman. She became very aware of the sin of pride and self exaltation, so much so that she would not look at herself in a mirror. She would not wear the high fashion garments of her day. She avoided the luxury and extravagance all around her.
She feared the pride of Paris as much as she feared our Lord!
She knew that the flesh was entangled closely with the world system and it's lusts for excess and more.
Madame Guyon was a champion believer! She knew all about, and practised taking up her own cross, putting the lusts of the flesh to death. She walked in the abundance of spiritual fruit, influencing a great many.
You may say that this is all a bit extreme. I would rather have been in her place that in the place of those who criticise her, any day!
Here are some books by Madame Jeanne Guyon:
●Experiencing the depths of Jesus Christ. ●Final steps in Christian maturity. ●Union with God
Much that passes for Christianity today is nothing more than a severed branch trying to produce fruit!
Please bear in mind that in every generation, but especially this one there are few who make the grade with God. Study your Bible properly and you'll see it is so. Will you be one of them who makes the grade?
Will you be one of those who is granted an "abundant entrance into the Kingdom of God"?
Will you be one those who is greeted with the following; "Depart from Me, I never knew you"
Will you be one of those who'll have all your good works burnt up and consumed by our Lord on your entrance into His Kingdom? Or will be you be one of those who'll receive great, everlasting rewards?
Don't try to bring God down to your level.
Psalm 50:21 "These things you have done and I have kept silent; You thought that I was altogether like you..."
What a terrible indictment on modern man. This speaks of the modern world creating a god in its own image.
Today people are filled with "I think" They think that God is like this or that. They think that God would never send anyone to hell. They have their god as a behind-the-scenes sponsor of their lives, not interfering in their worldly pursuits and fun in the sun.
Do you see what that earth-shattering verse says above? read it again. "You thought I (God) was altogether like you" What a big mistake and yet this is perhaps the biggest mistake in the world today! The next verse says this: Psalm 50:22 "Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you in pieces..."
Today all around in the church and in the world the great masses bring God down to their level. People have no knowledge of the true living God and no respect or reverence for Him. There is no fear of God around anymore. People are a god unto themselves.
1 Corinthians 6:19 "Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God and you are not your own?"
The first step to victory is to realise that you are not your own! Only when you realise that you are not your own, can you begin to see that out great God has a purpose for you.
A sick, diseased church
Of course there are some wonderful exceptions to what follows.
We are now in the Laodicea generation. Revelation 3:16 "So then, because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I will spew you out of My mouth."
The last of the seven churches of the Revelation is the church of Laodicea. It is the only one with not one word of commendation, but only condemnation from our Lord. It represents a great part of the end time church.
The word is made up of two root words. Laos means "the people" and "decia" (dike-original) means opinions. This is the church of self opinion and self will. It is the modern democratic church where the voice of the people is supreme. It is lukewarm and spat out by God!
Interestingly the original name of the town Laodicea was "The city of Zeus" (a great satanic god)
Much of the church today has a low man-made view of God, devoid of His presence. This is the cause of many lesser evils that are growing fast. Prophetically, a great deal of the church will end completely shipwrecked, with the organ still playing and the idiot, self-confident preacher still vomiting up his garbage. These ministers pray to God, but they're talking to themselves!
Today many church leaders are guilty of trying to modify God and His word. They are guilty of creating a god in their own fallen, doomed image! They essentially teach their flock nothing of the cross, while they themselves flee it! Their imaginary Christ produces an imaginary salvation.
Today many ministers have filled the church with the deadly poison of compromise and spineless half truths. They've omitted what doesn't suit them and injected into their gospel things not true. The flesh is worshipped and glorified in all its worldly ways.
They're happy if the Christ they preach remains outside and doesn't come in with instruments of blood and death like the cross. Compromise is everywhere. Compromise takes the pressure off. Satan doesn't bother compromisers, but their end is too frightening to contemplate.
"Have fun in Jesus name" is their battle cry. They "accept Christ" without the cross, on their own terms and conditions.
Listen to no leader who doesn't listen to God, and listen to no leader who hasn't got the scars of the cross on his life. Only a crucified person can be a true messenger of the cross. In this day, you had better have a long list of ministers who you reject!
It is no problem to question and doubt, but it is eternally fatal to believe everything being dressed up and presented as truth in the church today. Don't be a gullible idiot!
Liberal Christian modernists are parasites on the world and the flesh.
The great tragedy of our day is that far too many Christians draw their very life's sustenance from the polluted waters of the world. Their soul is connected thoroughly through the media, crowd opinion, celebrity, and worldly variable values to the devil himself.
We must cultivate an insatiable need and want of God Himself, His way.
If a minister does not inspire in you the fear and terror of God run away from him. Hell and judgement are more sure and real than that the sunrise. They must be preached. This is the way to safety in this day. The teaching of forgiveness without repentance is a modern day curse taught by countless, counterfeit imposters in the pulpit.
We must be inspired to hunger and thirst for the living Spirit of God, in the fear of God.
If applied correctly, the cross will hurt. It will cut into our flesh and defeat Satan!
Tozer said this: "In every believer's life there is a cross and a throne and the Christian is on the throne until he actively puts himself on the cross." "We want to be saved, but insist that that Christ do all the dying. No cross for us, no dethronement, no dying. We wear our tinsel crown with all the pride of a Caesar."
Peace of mind and soul is always on the far side of the cross. The natural bent of the soul is away from God and towards a weed-filled wilderness called the world. Fruit must be cultivated. The neglected heart and mind will soon be overrun and overcome by Satan.
"We must have a violent break from that irresponsible amusement-mad, paganised, pseudo religion which passes as faith and being spread around the world by unspiritual men employing unspiritual methods." - Tozer "The root of the righteous."
Your ability to face future storms will depend on the development of your spiritual roots, which all takes place silently, away from the crowd and in your own secret place. We are deeply rooted in the world by birth, but after the new birth we must become deeply rooted in the things of our great Messiah and King.
The root is responsible for the fruit in your life. It grows quietly, slowly and out of sight!
The secret to the Christian life is "not I but Christ." Christ our Lord is our substitute in death, but also in life. His life is wonderful, pure, glorious and this is available to us as we decrease so that He can increase in and through us. This is where we are delivered from sin, legalism, works and all things satanic.
Real true Biblically based faith produces the correct results. It produces out of brokenness, a pure holiness of heart and a love for righteousness. Truth produces a soul filled with God and His ways.
A heart enlarged with the presence of the living God is as strong as God Himself! This soul will be characterised by true love, thankfulness, worship, gratitude and an air of freedom and liberty.
The incredible awesome, wonderful, majestic presence of God fills the surrendered soul only. This is the way to true deep peace.
There is much evidence of a person going the right way with our Lord. The really useful believer in God's hands is the one who has be conquered by Him! Stability in faith is evidence of going the right way. A deep rest and inner joy is evidence of going the right way. The desire for solitude and serious contemplation is further evidence of victory.
All things will soon be shaken to the very core. It's wise to let that shaking begin right now in our own hearts. We should diligently see to it that our souls are shaken from all satanic influence.
We need to tear down all that we have inherited from Satan. Tear it all down to the very foundation. This is where the glorious and wonderful exchange takes place. "It's not I but Christ"
The quality of true conversion will be seen on the believers relationship to the world and on his self-life or soul.
If you set yourself to Know our Lord more and more intimately, you will be able to make Him known.
2 Corinthians 3:18 "But we all with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."
Proverbs 12:12 "The root of the righteous yields fruit."
John 7:17 "If anyone wants to do His will, he shall know concerning doctrine...He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true and no unrighteousness is in Him."
Here's a painting by Maxfield Parrish done in the late 1800s. This painting is titled "Blue Fountain" and represents peace with a slight fantasy element to it. After taking up that incredible instrument of death called a cross, we are delivered into real peace and fed by a never ending spiritual fountain.
(Numbers 6:24-26)The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace
Shalom and grow in grace!
